A couple things. The game starts with saying "See that glow around you" but I don't see a glow. Also the menu button highlight is basically impossible to tell on my monitor, I have some color settings triggered. So I'm basically blind to any indicators on the menu. Also, I killed the wisp but the wall didn't open up or anything so I was just locked in the starting area. There isn't really any feedback on the combat scene so I dont know if I'm close enough to dodge attacks anyways.
Your art, the typing sound, and the vibe are all awesome. I think there is seriously some potential for an undertale like here to do well. You just have to try to improve clarity to a player who has no experience with those genres (me) because I tbh have not much of a clue what to do.
