Hey everyone, I`m the creator of the WildFIRE Expanded Universe of novels, comics, games, and anime - Nice to meet you all! Engine-wise, I`m primarily a Unity and mobile developer, but for the past few years I`ve mostly been focused on worldbuilding, narrative design, and storytelling for my games. You can check those out on my page and play some of the demos!

Have a great weekend, and I hope to see some of you around!

Hello everyone 🤗 I'm Belle Rivers. I'm a software engineer who's currently working as an indie designer and developer with my best friend Senna  as part of Ronna Femto's team.🤍 I come from an African/Asian country that has ancient civilization (Guess where 🤫). I love a lot of types of games as long as they're not NSFW. If I'm not working on my game you'll find me either reading mystery books or writing one 🤭. I'm still new to the community so I'd be happy to follow, connect, and talk over games all the time.

P.S. I love using emojis all the time 😉

hello!

hey! do you want to play our game? your thoughts are precious to us 🌹 Recipe frenzy

Hi Belle Rivers, welcome!

Ethiopia? that was my guess

what kinda games do u like to make? and would you say having a software-engineering background aids ur game dev by a lot?

(+1)

Hey there nice to meet you. 🤗 No, I'm from Egypt. ✌🏻

I only made 1 game so far but I'd love to try making visual novels, strategic games, and adventure games. Having software engineering background had certainly helped. Actually even in normal apps and websites they're trying to add gamification so it is not so hard to adapt. Maybe the only difference between Game Development and Software Engineering is the depths of Game Design and the Game Community's values. I'm still getting used to them by the help of good friends I got to know here on itch.io. ☺️

Hello World of itch!
My name is Nathan, I've been making games ever since my uncle got me game maker 7 when I was 13, I'm 29 now and have nothing to show for it other than my passion and love for creating digital worlds for other peoples entertainment.

I Love watching people play my games and seeing how they tackle the puzzles and challenges.

Currently I'm trying to break into the market for PC games because I'm broke from enjoying life too much lol.

Unfortunately I don't make games for IOS or anything like that but now that I've upgraded my game maker version, hopefully with some effort you might find me on the apple store some day.

Please leave a follow on my account and check out my games. I've got free games and pay to play games. My top reccomendation right now would be Purrfect Jumping, an online highscore endless runner.

If you know any streamers or are one yourself I'd love to watch you or your friends playing my games so please share and help me break the mold.

Hi Nathan, nice to meet you!

Hey Nathan! There are great streamers in Feedback Quest Jam. They're not accepting new entries now but you can find the creators' links in the description so maybe you can contact them. ☺️

Hello! I am new here, but not to my field of work.

You may call me the CREATOR. I've been creating a video game called Dreamer for the last ten years.

Please, give it a try whenever you feel like it, and if you want to criticize it, go ahead. I'm semi-hating it already since my skills have improved over time. The game...has not.

Hello CREATOR! Nice to meet you. I couldn't find Dreamer on your profile page. But I hope you release a new game with the skills you developed. ☺️

Yeah, I'm doing a whole "make sure it's JUUUUST right" before I actually post it. Check tomorrow and it'll be there. In any case, it's nice to meet you too, Belle Rivers!

In addition, I'm thinking of releasing another game called Moonlite. If Dreamer works out, I'll start seriously considering it.

I checked it out but unfortunately I’m a Mac user. I read the FAQs and saw that there’s nothing to do about it. 😞

I hope Dreamer works out for you and even if it doesn’t I think you should go for Moonlite anyway, because why stop making games? ☺️

Thanks for trying, anyway. If you want to help, it would be nice to get some publicity via social media. (And even if you don’t play it, I’m sure you know friends who probably would!) And…yeah, I’m thinking hard and deep about it. Dreamer suffered from being made when I knew little, and Moonlite shall not suffer the same problems. It may, however, be reasonably darker in tone and story.

By the way, thanks for getting back to me! You’re the first supporter to my video game projects!

Damien's point about scope is the one that actually stuck with me. 2.5 years for a 30 hour RPG solo is wild but the advice to limit your first one to 3-5 characters is genuinely the only reason I ever finished anything. I started with way too big an idea, scrapped it, made something tiny, shipped it. Now trying the same discipline with a small project while messing around in this latest FF OB55 advance server on the side. Anyone else find short breaks between dev sessions actually help you come back with clearer eyes?

Hi everyone,

I'm AmazonianAngel, an aspiring Indie Game Developer from the UK, and currently developing a Gameboy Color Game which takes inspiration from various 2D Games in the Legend of Zelda series.

I've been into computers for a long time, mostly using Windows, but have made the switch over to Linux Mint a year ago, so glad i did.
I used to be more into HW focused stuff, but I have slowly gotten more into Software Development. I've dabbled in various languages C# and XNA Framework, C++ and SFML, Some knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS, but not made any serious progress with anything. I discovered GB Studio which has allowed me to bring some of my ideas to life.

Hope this didn't sound too formal.

Hey AmazonianAngel nice too meet you! Looking forward to hearing all about your new game. Make sure to post dev logs so we can follow up with all its updates. ☺️

Hello everyone, I'm Liminary and I'm a first time solo developer, I am a creative person, love to work on my game, draw, watch Manwha's and anime.

Feel free to check out my free demo on my first game! https://liminary-dev.itch.io/between-places-demo

Hi! Total newbie here….
The name is UglyMike, I am not a game developer and I am a bit out of my depth here….

About a month ago, I posted a browser-based Basic interpreter at uglymike.itch.io. (There are some primitive games in the ‘Open Examples’ however) This version is now obsolete, but I have no idea how to upgrade it (even forgot how I uploaded it the first time…)

I created 3 posts, but if I look at ‘Posts’, all three are still awaiting approval apparently…

I want to join the community but am stuck at the moment. Can someone give me some pointer
