woodsmoke said it casually but it's actually the real answer. The next game is the marketing for this one. Your profile becomes a portfolio and people who find game two go back and play game one. Seen it happen more than once. The paradox SpinnX is describing kind of dissolves once you stop treating each project as the thing that needs to blow up and start treating your whole output as the thing that compounds over time.

Damien's point about scope is the one that actually stuck with me. 2.5 years for a 30 hour RPG solo is wild but the advice to limit your first one to 3-5 characters is genuinely the only reason I ever finished anything. I started with way too big an idea, scrapped it, made something tiny, shipped it. Now trying the same discipline with a small project while messing around in this latest FF OB55 advance server on the side. Anyone else find short breaks between dev sessions actually help you come back with clearer eyes?
