Does your game technically work, but the world still feels "dead" or "empty"?

Many indie projects suffer from "Symptom 1: No Consequences." You win a battle, you complete a quest, but the world doesn’t breathe. NPCs remain static "task-lists," and the map feels like a mere route instead of an active story generator.

My name is Nicole Debelius (Studio: Systemfehler:Ich?), and I specialize in Narrative Systems Design. I don't build linear plots; I build interactive blueprints.

How I add value to your project:

  • NPCs as Reactive Systems: I replace static dialogue trees with Psychology Matrices based on intangible resources (e.g., Routine, Control, Truth)
This creates consistent characters that react autonomously to player chaos, saving up to 80% of manual writing time
  • Active Maps (The Rendermoor Principle): I transform Points of Interest (POIs) into systemic conflict generators using a 3-layer approach (Visible, Hidden, Systemic)
  • AI & Future-Ready Workflow: My table-based logic provides the necessary structure for LLM-driven NPCs, preventing hallucinations and guaranteeing a consistent character core

Special "Founding Client" Offer: I am currently building my studio's local case studies and am offering ONE final slot for a free Mini Narrative System Audit (3-5 pages, valued at 150€)

  • The Deal: I analyze your GDD or build for systemic gaps and provide 3 concrete Quick-Fixes to enhance immersion immediately
  • Requirement: An honest written testimonial in exchange.

Recent Success:
“Nicole’s beta audit was extremely helpful and insightful. She quickly identified a core issue in my game’s campaign layer... The feedback was clear, practical, and easy to act on without requiring a full redesign.” — Summit Studio (Fallen Banners) [Conversation History]

Portfolio & Contact: You can find my deep-dives into systemic character logic (like the 30-page Clement dossier) and my technical stress tests in my portfolio:  [English Portfolio]

Let’s turn your technical skeleton into a living, ticking world. "If it ticks, it’s still alive."

Hi Nicole,

I saw your itch.io post regarding your Narrative Systems Architecture and your table-based logic for LLM-driven NPCs. I have no coding background, but I’ve spent the last several months building a massive, monolithic text blueprint for a single-player Big Brother simulation game. Big Brother is a social deduction/competiton reality tv game show.

I’ve basically written the entire logic engine in text—mapping out how time passes, how information is quarantined to prevent cheating, and how characters run background checks to lie, betray, or compare notes behind the player's back using hidden core data. Because you specialize in psychology matrices based on things like Control and Truth, my logic rules are a perfect match for your workflow.

I saw you have a slot open for a Mini Narrative System Audit. I would love to submit my v4.0 framework text files for you to analyze for systemic gaps. I'm completely ready to provide an honest, detailed written testimonial in exchange, and if the chemistry is there, I'd love to discuss collaborating on turning this architecture into a lightweight, 6-character prototype.

Let me know if you’d be interested in looking over the blueprint files!

Hi Randall, yes, I’d definitely be interested in taking a look at the framework.

For easier written communication, feel free to add me on Discord: trivijane We can discuss the project there and figure out which parts of the v4.0 framework would be the most useful for the Mini Audit. Since the audit has a limited scope, I’d prefer to select the most relevant sections rather than have you send the entire monolithic document at once.

Hey, this actually sounds like a really interesting project. I’m a developer, artist, and animator, so I can help on both the development and visual side of a prototype.

The idea of a 6-character prototype with all those hidden interactions and decision-making systems could be pretty fun to bring to life. If you end up looking for someone to help turn the blueprint into an actual playable prototype, I’d be interested in talking about it.

Happy to connect and take a look at what you’ve built so far.

Hey,  I came across your reply and honestly the amount of thought you've put into the underlying systems is what caught my attention. The idea of having information, relationships, and decisions happening behind the player's view sounds like it could become much more interesting than a straightforward reality-show simulation.

I saw you're already connecting with Nicole about the framework, so I don't want to interrupt that process. I'm just genuinely interested in what you've built and where you want to take it next. If you're open to connecting, my Discord is brandon_c0569.
