Hello i undestand that the judge will play only the top 15, but is a little unfair there are games with almost 20 votes or user that play and vote, but there still games with only 2-5 votes.

Not all the participants are trying the games xs, and at least would be nice that the judges leave the feedback.

It's not a perfect system yes. Unfortunately due to time constraints it may not be possible for the judges to try all the games. In general, games that are web based have a higher chance of getting votes since many users tend to avoid downloads due to viruses. "Top 15" is a bit unclear as well. I'm not sure if that means they'll just sort the list by "most rated" or "most popular" or if they'll aggregate all the scores and normalize them based on number of votes.

If it's just "highest average score" across the rating categories, then actually games with fewer votes have a higher chance of being rated highly. A game with only 1 vote (if that one vote is all 5 stars) could conceivably be the highest rated game.

It's how itch rates them. I believe games with just 1 vote may finish lower in the queue. A game may need at least 5 votes to average correctly according to a comment on our discord channel.
