LOVED THIS!!! I saw the mouse wheel sign, played around with it for a second and saw everything go black and white, turned it back into full color and only then did I see the sign mentioning the future. Having that moment of intrigue before I understood the mechanic and then having the realization that I'm controlling time with the mouse wheel was AWESOME. Instantly hooked. I think if anything the movement could be touched up a bit but that's all stuff that comes out in the wash anyway. Theres a solid idea with great execution here :)) GREAT work!!
Time travel mechanic is cool & unique, music is nice too. I feel like the sprint should just be the default speed. Also world boundaries are definitely needed!
Thank you form the comment ! The sprint and boundaries modifications are a great idead, we are on it !
This feels like a solid jam prototype with a clear core mechanic.
I liked using the mouse wheel to move between the past and present, especially once the seed mechanic started coming into play. Planting different seeds to create platforms/bridges and then switching timelines to solve traversal puzzles is a fun idea, and I could definitely see it getting more interesting with a larger set of interactions.
One thing I’d work on is the visual clarity of the past. The grayscale effect communicates the timeline change really well, but some of the environment starts to blend together compared to the present. A little more contrast/value separation would probably help a lot without changing the look.
There isn’t a ton here yet, but the mechanics are there, and I’d be interested to see what kind of story/setup you build around this in a fuller version.
Thanks you for the comment. Yes we focused a lot into the gameplay and not about the lore. The next game version will include this a little bit more and we will take care about the time détails you menssionned.
Neat concept, interesting puzzles. Well done!
I love puzzle games like this! I wish the jump button wasn't necessary because the puzzles could have worked without it. Feels like there may be some untapped potential where placing a seed in the future state and reversing it does something unique.
Thanks for playing and for the great feedback!
Regarding the jump, we actually agree, and we're planning to remove the jump button to keep the focus purely on the puzzle mechanics.
During the jam, we originally planned past/future interactions like ice forming walkable platforms in the past that melt in the future, but we simply ran out of time. We'll be working on improving and expanding the game over the coming weeks, so stay tuned!
Always love a good time travel mechanic and it was neat to have it on the scroll wheel. I only made it to the third stage before moving on but liked what I saw. Falling off the edge of the stage was pretty frustrating :(
Thank you for playing and for the feedback! Glad you liked the time-travel mechanic on the scroll wheel. As for falling off the edge, we'll look into tuning the stage boundaries to make it less punishing.
