Fun game! Thanks for sharing it. The art was the highlight for me, and I enjoyed the music although I did wish it fit the chiptune sound of the Gameboy.
When I left the big tree area and came back in, I noticed that there were a few collision issues that prevented me from accessing areas of the map that I thought I should. Screenshot of one example is pasted below, where I couldn't travel any further to the right.
