You are right, the start feels really slow. There is not even much atmosphere there. Compared to other games I've seen for this jam, I should have done a smaller scope (fast game). Instead of just spawn enemies and mines later when you get deeper, I should have introduced them directly. I will take that experience with me for the next games!
