Thanks so much for playing! I'm honestly surprised you found it with the current state of the page - I'll be updating that as soon as I find the time. Needed a little break after pushing right up to the submission deadline... 🫣

I'm not sure how to bind to physical keys on Gamemaker, I didn't know this was a thing. I'll have to do some research for the future. It's unfortunate Z is a standard A button or I could just hard code the additional letters!

Yeah the telegraphing between the minigame phases isn't my favorite, it was a last minute simplification... I had originally built the second phase as a central box with arrow keys coming in from all sides - but in playtesting this change felt a little too complex to understand quickly. Maybe I should add a big 'MASH A!' graphic or something. 

The font is one I made custom for this jam. It's actually my first time making a font so I'm glad you liked it! I guess I can upload the png if you'd want to use it. 

That's a good 'catch' about the final text box - it only said 'Thanks for playing!' ... So I guess: thanks for playing! 

I will update the page to be nicer soon! I'm stoked you still made this little back lakes fishing detour, you're a real one 🤝
