How does your game meet GBJam's theme
The game explores the idea that something precious doesn't have to be made of gold. To the owner, her little cat is her greatest treasure. Through the years they spent together, he became a source of comfort, companionship, and love, making him more valuable than any material possession.
Even though the cat doesn't realize how precious he is to her, he continues to wander around the house and search for his owner as he always does.

interesting game!!
I love the graphics and spritework in this game! very well done! however, the music doesn't really match the way that the Gameboy line of consoles would sound like. and, I'm not saying that because I didn't like the music; I thought it was great! I could totally see it working on the GBA or something!
the interpretation of the theme was a cute spin on "old gold," and I felt a bit sad at the ending. you know a game is good if it can make someone tear up a bit! :,)
only thing I have left is at the end, the screen goes to "black," but the black doesn't match the darkest color in the palette. minor mistake! totally understandable!
tl;dr, great game!!
The color palette and art is really nice! The ending is very sweet as well and it has a good message, thanks for making this!
I played this on stream today (recording here) in case you’re interested in watching a playthrough of your game (apologies for getting very lost after accidentally skipping a textbox). Great job!
I never expected a game that would make me cry would show up today, but it did, and I think for the better. This game will be one of my favourites from now on.
im getting repeatedly surprised by how amazing some of these games look. I absolutely love the art and the choice of color. And the story while being rather sad is beautifully told. The only tiny thing that was a bit frustrating was that the controls felt unintuitive to me i tried pressing a second directional button and expected it to overwrite the one i was pressing. I really love the story you were able to tell with this game, amazing job!
This was great--was really not expecting it to make me cry, but there you are. So so pretty, and the arrow minigame was fun and very fitting to represent a cat rifling through cupboards and digging in the dirt. Thank you for sharing this lovely game and sweet story!
Awww Thank youu. Glad you like it.🥺
Super cute graphics, love the color palette choice! The music was very fitting to the warm feel of the game and nailed the gameboy vibe! I thought I was stuck, but kept with it and I was happy I did bc the ending tied it all together and made me have to run to my cat. Very nice work!
YOU MADE ME CRY WHYYYYYYYYY
Wonderful little game, so cute. As a cat owner, it made me tear up
ik same here
This game was really nice to play and I really liked the color palette. The garden did feel a tiny bit strange with the amount of quick time events to hit but other than that I had a great time!
Cute little game. If anyone feels stuck at the garden, keep doing the quick time events on the bush.
I really like your interpretation of the theme. The art is very nice (bonus points for cute cat). The ending was really good and a bit emotional.
Also, I’m not sure if it is an issue on my end but when joing the owner on the bed the game started to flicker weirdly and become fully black. I assumed it was the end of the game so I stopped at that point.
Except from that, very nice work!
