How does your game meet GBJam's theme
The game focuses around mining gems and precious metals. Gold is one of the 3 rarest finds and a major goal of the game. The game's color palette also contains a shade of gold.

This game is a cool concept, I don't know much about its source material but I liked the idea, a bit too easy to cheese and for a game jam (and this is not a bad thing) a bit too much content!

This feels like something you would 100% would just sit and play sometimes on your gameboy, maybe with a few more rooms and less easy to camp mine spots but honestly good job! If I had more time I would 100% this.

I haven't thought about the Diamond/Pearl mining system in probably over a decade, but boy was it fun to revisit it in this new form! Some issues kept this from being really fun, though--the mining spots spawned waaaaay too slowly, so most of the time I spent with this was wandering around looking for the spots. I'm not sure if there was a way to get out of the starting area, either, although your screenshots feature other areas and other characters. Great start, though, and congrats on getting it completed!

Developer

Hey thanks so much for the feedback. The other area you see in the screenshot is the museum. Pressing start gives you an option to go to it in the menu.

For a solo project it's really good, graphics are great, there is main menu, sounds etc. Solid 3.5-3.8/5

tbh not the best id give this 2.5

Hey friend! Next time, maybe try to be a bit more constructive with your feedback. Just giving a vague impression and number doesn't really help the developer understand why you had a good/bad/interesting/fun experience. :)
