Pretty good core gameplay (reminds me of Celeste tbh), but the difficulty spike with this is immense. Not to mention, that the timer not resetting after losing the gold is really punishing. Could have had an atmospheric 8-bit soundtrack, too.

Overall, good attempt and it would be better if it had a steady difficulty curve.

Okay I got here now what????

Solid little platformer. I love a good wall jump. Could use a double jump to get me out of precarious places.

The minimalism really impressed me. The character reads great even though the sprite is barely 8x8 pixels.

Could use a tiny original Metroid-on-NES style soundtrack to round it out.

Nice art, controls, sounds and effects but the difficulty from 0 to 1 is too high!

I liked the minimalist style and the sound effects; unfortunately, I’m not very good at demanding platformers and couldn't get past level 2 (that wall of spikes before the gold almost gave me a stroke while trying to get back). Points to consider would be adjusting the difficulty curve and perhaps adding some background music—other than that, it’s a good game.

I like the base movement, the dashing and jumping feels very solid, but I'm really struggling with these levels. The difficulty spike in level 1 -> 2 is jarring. The time limit after getting the gold is really punishing too. It doesn't feel good to mess up once when you're almost back at the door and lose the gold, while you respawn right at the checkpoint you just hit at the start. I also kept having issues with the game just freezing trying to load new levels, even after several minutes (might just be an issue with my browser?).

As I'm typing this I only just figured out you can dash in any direction?? I thought it was horizontal only until my friend tried the game. So maybe the levels aren't nearly so hard as I thought? Really solid base movement despite my issues with the level design though.

Fun and cute lil' game! Sadly, I'm having skill issues with it, but the movement's really great! Well done.
