First of all, I must praise the excellence of this game! However, it seems that because it’s currently free, its development and updates progress extremely slowly; it’s like the GTA of the Hgame world. Are there any games that are quite similar to it that I can play in the meantime? The wait is really frustrating... From a CN player
Hey, here's my list of games that I personally like, but they have a completely different style (I suggest these games because I value quality content/pictures and don't bother too much with gameplay, I'm delighted with Starmaker Story, and the games suggested, but to a lesser extent, I hope our tastes are similar):
Yes, Starmaker Story is a unique game, featuring unique graphics (even though they are partly AI-generated), well-developed characters, a compelling storyline, and a world map. You won't find another game quite like it. That is precisely why I will make every effort to buy it on Steam in the future.
Patreon alone brings in almost $15,000 monthly. While I understand development takes time and can be quite challenging, it hurts when a game as good as Starmaker is so vague when it comes to its development cycle. I'm glad it's getting the time it needs to produce a good update, but we've heard very little about when we can actually expect any real content.
There are a lot of games with only one devloper and low content updates, but they have a lot of subs. Luck and skills both are a factor of your success. A good combination of both will get you anywhere. Or you can just make a NTR game and get a shit tone of money😅.
But as I said, this is a side project where he practices his game making skills in unity engine ,but his main project has a team for the devlopement.
Better a delay or longer dev time than a rushed product. From the preview images it looks like a completely different game already and reworking all that takes time. The feature of inviting almost anyone into your house? Those variables to keep in mind and coding/writing alone would take ages I assume. I actually expect a dev time of minimum of 2 more months actually.
I say take your time since I will wait for the complete product anyway before playing it again. My backlog is admittedly way too big so I can kill time.
As long as it doesn't evolve into some kind of Summertime Saga development hell than I am fine with that. xD
My only hope is that the same care and detail is put in the promised pregnancy content later down the road. Would love to have some big belly pregnant sex scenes at the end.
For now I am looking forward to having finally ending CGs coming with this update (hopefully) so there is that ,)
Have a good one Dr. Muramasa.
so if my math is mathing, and the 70% we got at the beginning of this thread is somewhat accurate, and progression is somewhat linear, we should get to 100% completion in about three weeks; if nothing else in terms of not wanting to give an estimate(which I understand after the community reaction the last time an update was pushed back), can we at least know if expecting an update by that time is realistic at all?
Sadly, this exchange happened seven days ago:
heysonxx: "Good morning, Dr. Muramasa. I would like to know the current percentage of progress, given that 40 days have passed since the update indicating 70% completion. If this information cannot be shared, please do not worry; thank you for keeping us informed."
Dr. Muramasa: "Hello there, as of now we can only say is more than 70%."
The delay is because the game dev keeps adding more content that was not in the original estimate. I wouldn't anticipate a release until we get confirmation that the dev has stopped adding more content. When that happens, the update will still need to be tested, which might take a while, as this is a massive update.
Calculation assuming a uniform work rate: Total duration = \(6 \div 0.7 \approx 8.57\) months Time for the remaining 30% = \(8.57 \times 0.3 \approx 2.57\) months
Note: In reality, the final 30% is often more difficult and usually takes longer than 2.57 months.
Answer: Approximately 2.57 months at a constant pace.
