I don't know if I'm just being dense or if I stumbled upon a bug. But the character simply refused to move any further. He stayed on the same screen, and nothing happened when approaching the edges. Maybe I needed to buy something, but I didn't feel like grinding for 100 gold when you only get 10–15 per run.
That said, the visuals and music are actually quite good.
