I'm gonna be honest here, you fooled me for a second. At first, I thought there were four colors used. Man, the dithering here is absolutely astounding. Amazing how much dimension you can achieve with only two colors and dithering. This is very solid! Also, purple is a nice touch.

Thank you, that was one of the first things the team tried to perfect was the 1Bit visuals in a 3D scene. If you are interested here are the resources we used to implement a simple 1 bit shader with dithering:

https://sambigos.itch.io/godot-dither-shader - Demo

https://github.com/samuelbigos/godot_dither_shader - Implementation instructions

https://lospec.com/palette-list - Palette resource

https://github.com/tromero/BayerMatrix - Bayer Matrix (This is what makes the dither)

https://godotshaders.com/shader/dither-gradient-shader-updated-for-4-5-original-by-sambigos/ - Updated Gdshader for godot. (We’ll be using this one for the actual code)

Thank you for playing!

Noting we ended up using our own palette instead of the ones on lospec as none matched what the team wanted. Though lopsec still is a great resource I ended up generating a bunch of potential palettes on https://www.coolors.in/ based on what the team was looking for. super useful site.
