Being able to move more than once in combat has been a real game changer.  It feels good to be able to do things like move in close to another ship, heal them, then move away in a single turn.

I was looking at the Ability cards from the main menu, before starting a run. On the Damage tab, Basic Attack was listed and had a cost of 2000 credits.

The first few times picking cards was a real tough choice, because of how limited my credits were. As I continued, it became easier, as I started to gain credits faster than I was using them. After doing the Story once, and a few runs in the Battle Mode, I had enough credits that I could get whichever card I wanted as I decided I needed them, though I didn't get enough to buy any of the new ships.

The star rating doesn't always match how I feel I did. At one point, I lost one of my ships, and still got a Legendary rating. I did use Saul Kay and that ship survived until the end, so maybe that's part of it, but it still felt really odd to me.

The volume could use with a little more normalization. Sometimes it feels quiet enough that it's hard to hear, so I'll turn my volume up, but then it'll get to a louder part of the music and I'll need to turn it down to not be too loud.

On the second and third fights of mission 4, I got the same set of badges, even though I didn't do some of the things in the third fight that would have earned them. I got Rain of Life, Botanist of Death, and Prison of Light even though I didn't use any of the abilities that those require on the third fight. I'm pretty sure I did the things to earn them on the second fight.

I'm also pretty sure my accuracy was higher in the third fight than my ending score showed as well, and that it might have been the average between the two fights.

During Battle Mode, I also seemed to be getting the same badges in every fight once I unlocked certain ones, even though I didn't do the requirements in them.

One the 6th fight in Battle Mode, it didn't show the text for what the enemies did during their turn. I'm not sure if this was due to what I was fighting or due to the number of fights I had done so far. I didn't think to write down what the enemies were though.

I wonder if Therapeutic Grapple should cost more credits. It seems like 5,000 is the max card cost at the moment, so being at that max makes sense. But I also acknowledge that it is a very powerful card, and I can't help wondering if it should cost more.

This time around I started using Remorse Flower, on the advice of Dragon. The first few times I tried using a Flower attack, I wasn't sure what I thought of them, but playing with them more, particularly Remorse, has made me acknowledge just how powerful they can be.

Being able to move more than once in combat has been a real game changer.

I was very much on a fence about this so it’s good to hear thoughts on it! šŸ˜„

Does the movement feel smoother?

I was looking at the Ability cards from the main menu, before starting a run. On the Damage tab, Basic Attack was listed and had a cost of 2000 credits.

That’s a good catch! I’ll fix it.

The first few times picking cards was a real tough choice

Should this be made easier? Or was it a fun problem to have. Was it good progression?

The star rating doesn’t always match how I feel I did.

I agree. I need to rework this.

There’s definitely a problem with badges not resetting either. I’ll look to fixing it this patch. I’ll also retouch accuracy counters to ensure they don’t have problems.

Though I didn’t get enough to buy any of the new ships.

The later levels in Battlemode give massive credit rewards. I might buff them even more. I want people to be able to buy ships after 1 successful run or 2 failed runs. šŸ¤”

I’ve tweaked the SFX a bit today. Definitely needs more work.

Would love to know more of your thoughts on card balance as well!

Thank you for playing btw! As always, your feedback is very useful and always appreciated. šŸ˜„

I didn't really have any issue with the movement beforehand, but I do like it more now. I'm not sure if I'd call it smoother than before, just a general feeling of better. I felt like I moved my ships more now, because I could do things like make a minor correction in my angle to hit an enemy, attack, and then move to a better spot after attacking. Before I tended to position my ships early on and only really move them for better aiming or if I needed to get closer a particular ship for a nearest ally ability.

I don't think you need to make the early card choices easier. It was a tough choice to make, but it also help it feel like my choices mattered. The progression felt decent. The first mission I had to do a lot more thinking and planning for what to get and whether I should heal than the others, but that felt balanced out by the difficulty of each of the missions. By the last mission, I didn't worry about healing my ships between fights, because I had most of my favorite cards by that point though I didn't have every card at that point.

I didn't have enough credits to buy a ship after 2 failed runs on Battle Mode, though the first one I lost fairly early and the second one was at fight number 6, so it was probably due to when I lost. I don't mind the ships being expensive, as it gives me something to work towards.
