the player needs to stop blue energy generators to avoid impending doom for their cult! also wildcard selection is broken so I'll just say I used "tag along"

What a nice platformer, I like the tutorial, easy to understand

Nice!

Developer(+1)

thank you so much for playing! your game is good too <3

Nice platformer, I like the little details like particle effects on the ground when walking. I had fun in the tutorial jumping on (or rather being ejected up by) the thingy that tutorial told me not to touch :P I, similar as previous commenter was a bit surprised I died due to time limit (I suppose now, then I thought maybe it was just a glitch). The number of collected fangs during the level could also be visible on screen. The "floaty" jump could be probably fixed by either using rigidbody2d for character or using non-linear position shift for jump if you want to use characterbody2d, just an advice from someone who has been playing with it as well (and completely abandoned using characterbody after some issues). Still, not a bad game, I must say I liked it.

Developer

thank you! its pretty surprising you could tell I was using characterbody2d! maybe in my next platformer I will try out rigidbody2d, I did use it before in my game mutato but that was mostly just a tech demo! glad you enjoyed

fun game! and great considering the team size as well
I do wish the tutorial mentioned there being a time limit, I didn't see anything about it in the description either and then was confused the first time I died cus I ran out of time

Developer

oops I knew I forgot something! lol, tbh the tutorial was added pretty late so I didn't notice that

thanks for playing!

that’s nice we both made games about an animal!

The main character is cute and I appreciated the slight wall climb!

Developer

thanks! Tho I was completely unaware of a wall climb! Lmao

Great submission, I had fun getting all of the characters

I like the concept of a timer, I like the Egypt-like song, but the progression feels a bit slow and some action just feel like pausing too much, but love the game overal

Developer

thanks! I didn’t do quite a good job making the game feel more action packed lol!

Main character is very cute! The platforming mechanics could maybe use a little tuning but overall great job!

Developer

thanks man!

It's a platformer, so the feedback may feel quite obvious...

  • The jump mechanic feels floaty and a bit weird (maybe you intended it like this, but I can't really tell from the game)
  • Hitboxes for the "Q" ability feel weird (you stop a few meters before the obstacle and get stuck, the ability itself can be used only on this stuck range)
  • If I didn't read your comment about the theme, I wouldn't tell it's connected

Anyway, it's a great start!

Developer

yeah thanks for the comment! The floaty jump is my fault as I’m not used to making platformers in godot 4 lol

Also the reason you stop a while before hitting the wall is mostly because of a soft lock I couldn’t fix in code so stopping a while before hitting the wall was the only way I found to kind of fix it! Anyways thank you for playing <3

Developer

I see the door destroyed at 5 meter of me :(.

Developer

lol yes that bug was mostly because there’s an area2d in the hand and when that area2d enters the trigger zone for the door then the door will be gone

Left it in as a speedrun strategy!
