How does your game meet GBJam's theme
* **Visual Palette:** Uses a range of aged golden and amber tones that evoke both old gold and classic retro LCD aesthetics.
* **Rescue Narrative:** The exploration of the basement and collection of relics or forgotten items represent the valorization of treasures from the past.

Cool game! I find the whole call to adventure pretty silly, i like it lol.  Why is the basement so big!? The Backrooms-esque map made me a little uneasy lol.  Intended or not, the atmosphere wants to tell more than the things it does actually admit. The little musical references to actual pop songs is a cool detail i appreciate!

Interesting idea, different songs play when you go near the tape? I got some bugs where I can't move boxes or go further. Art is amazing

The game art is nicely done, and the secondary theme interpretation also stands out uniquely among a sea of entries that seem focused on the "obvious" subjects of pirates and treasure and gold and the like. However, the gameplay loop itself is not well explained, rather basic in nature, and even then is brought down by bugs/programming oversights.

I hope you are not discouraged from future projects. There's obvious positives to take away here that you can build off of, but the next project (or update to this one?) can get off on the right foot with a solid functioning gameplay loop, even if it has to start with stick-figure people for graphics at first.

I like the introduction cutscene but exploring was hard since there was some sort of invisible walls

Holy moly ART! Nice art. Digging through the basement for Golden Oldies is a really sweet take on the theme too! The pun was sitting right in front of us the whole time. Glad you made this.

Love the art and fun gam!

I wish this game was more polished (there were tons of invisible collisions from what I played) and the screen didn't get cut off, alongside other puzzles outside of box pushing. However, I still like the art direction and the 8-bit versions of licenced songs were cute, too.

Hope you take this feedback to heart on future projects.

great art direction, the game looks great to look at and it's very clear with the limited art palette. ran into some bugs but very enjoyable, and very impressive and cool for a game jam game

Art direction here is great, nicely done pixel art

The graphics are really good!
Sadly the gameplay is a bit too buggy for me.
But still it's pretty nice!

The cover art got me to click, it's well made and makes me want to learn more. Just a shame that the gameplay itself is rather bugged

Obviously not playing as intended but the interpretation of the theme is clever and the cover art is really good!

like the theme interpretation of finding good old music, but in terms of gameplay i was walking into lots of invisible walls and going inside solid walls :( for actual cassettes found only 1

good gamplay , i like the art too

Really good game, the art is super cute! The only thing is that the colliders are positioned a bit strangely.

great idea, but for some reason i had a lot issues with invisible colliders being in the hallways and the camera feels junky
