How does your game meet GBJam's theme
in traditions such as alchemy, gold itself does conduct electrical charge across organic semiconductors, also biological tissue with supreme clarity. as for old, we paid attention to constructing this with tangible mechanical friction and then to unify oldgold alchemical measure with some 80s-90s foundational handheld computing into one kind of experiment toolbox

Seems really cool but I honestly couldn't figure it out and I had a tough time understanding the dialogue. I may just be an idiot though. Your animations on the page look amazing!

Is this the end? I am at loss of words with how confused I am.  I like to think I'm good with English, but I didn't understand half of the text I was reading, which only speaks about my intellect, haha.
The art style felt more in tune with what I would expect from an Atari era game, but I understand the limitations caused by such a small resolution and the need to fit entire rooms into it.
Overall, this is not only the most unique game I've played in the jam, this is the weirdest thing I've played in the entire year, no doubt.
Good Job!

Edit: It looks like the image did not attach. I was asking specifically if the "Margin Saved" screen was the end of the game.

nice graphics, but this is confusing

Unfortunately I was not big brained enough to figure out how to progress from the first room. The idea is very interesting and the work to make interactive sound is very cool.

this 'order of likeness' depiction or conversion does function a bit like a physical test bench, and I also spent a bit of time trying to figure aout the Gatehouse: apparently you start with the Four-L Pressure Probe equipped in your active tool slot. already closer than you think! walk up to the central metal workbench beside the instrument rack, then, face the bench directly and press the primary action key (A on Game Boy, Z or Alt on desktop). your probe will measure the brass calibration case, will display the field log at least in my case, then you can go through the 'dialogue' text with the action button, stuff will chime, the door latch on the far right wall will click open hopefully

and also, once the dialogue closes, you can walk your technician straight into the open doorway on the far right edge of the screen, which steps you directly into a sort of what may be called a nursery of relays (according to academian corpus of order of likeness), and my non-pro tip for later chambers is that pressing B (or X on keyboard) displays any active task anytime you want a hint on which instrument to apply

I'm really sorry but I don't quite *get* it? There seems to be quite a lot to it from your screenshots but I can't find how to progress from the first screen

quick way forward:

you start with the 4-L Pressure Probe equipped. walk up to the central metal workbench beside the tool rack, face it directly, and press the action key (A on gamebooy, Z or Alt on PC). the probe scans the calibration case and logs the data. advance through the dialogue pages with the action button. The machinery will chime and the latch on the far right wall will click open. once dialogue closes, walk your technician straight through the open doorway on the far right edge of the screen into the next thing. for later rooms: you can press B (or X on keyboard) anytime, that seems to display active chamber objective

Graphics could be a bit better, great sounds! Good luck

thank you! yes, this is, in a way, a walking sound simulator or walking music simulator, so we tried to work with sounds quite bit. would actually like to develop it into a separate mechanic in one of the upcoming games
