Really cool reference, great submission!

Had a great time watching and laughing at one of my teammates playing this. The chaotic gameplay filled me with energy and life. I think the biggest problems for us was the controls, specifically the super high sensitivity and the scroll wheel dodge. Good job!

Developer

Thank you! Yep it probably needed sensitivity slider. I considered it but it was like 2am and I decided to go to bed rather than put it in 😭

I like the overall vibes a lot, but the dash controls felt quite unintuitive. Is my cross supposed to let out all of the ammo at once?

Developer(+1)

Indeed. Cause the power of Christ is so powerful that you can't stop.

Thanks for playing

I had fun, but in respectful honesty it's got a little ways to go.

At one point, one of the enemies seemed to become completely invincible and I'm not sure why; I hit it with my entire reserve of salt and it didn't go down. The key is non-intuitive (I kept trying to figure out how to pick it up). Also, a fallback weapon would be very handy for when we run out of ammo!

Otherwise, solid game and thanks for contributing!

Really cool, love the art style!

What is this and why can’t I pick it up? Looks important!image.png

Very fun, but too tough for me! I think the enemy hurtboxes could be a bit more forgiving. But great entry for solo dev and first GWJ!

Developer(+1)

Aah fr I needed to make some announcement msg system like "you activated the switch". Good callout.

Supposed to be like key or switch

Small fun shooter, here is some feedback:

  1. Always add a mouse sensitivity setting in first person games
  2. There is lack of auido/visual feedback when you hit an enemy or getting hit
  3. Using mouse wheel while also using LMB is not a good choice
  4. The game is hard, and because of the reasons 2 and 3 it feels unfair (you can't really say why exactly you loose)

I liked it, it has that nice classic-game feel, but hey… the enemies hit hard. With a bit more time you could polish it further. Well done!

I really enjoyed this and there is some difficulty but I got through it.  Not gonna lie though I felt more like I was playing as spiderman than a priest.  At first I thought I was throwing webs instead of salt :D I was also confused a little bit about the meat.  I thought that was meant to be some sort of healing item but realized it was just a cosmetic touch.  Nice job with this!

Developer(+1)

Admittedly the purpose of the meat is not clear... Someone pointed this out before so I added in the priest near the door that says it's not allowed lol.

Thank you though I'm glad you ended up finishing it 🙂
