While I would love the idea of a metroidvania like exploration game, I was fighting the controls more than the environment. Getting stuck on walls with no let go button, getting actually stuck in the tiles sliding down with no movement option once the ledge ends just lead to a kinda awkward movement tech which dampens the enjoyment of the exploration.

While the overall spritework looks cool it is breaking many of the rules of the jam, such as the pixel perfection and rotation rules. Piston moving subpixels, the character sliding on corners also do not help the gameplay.

SFX was okay, I did find the music a tad annoying as it had many high notes that were repeating often.

Overall it is not a bad game, it just needs more time and tuning to be at its best!

I enjoyed the movement mechanics, it made for some tricky platforming. I did end up getting stuck to the wall sometimes like the area far to the right near the start where the checkpoint is it was annoying trying to get back through that gap and I couldn't work out how to get across the section to the right.

Nice music too, though it would be nice if the song was a bit longer as it gets repetitive after a while.

Overall a good game, and I hope you can finish it off with an ending and some polish!

Fantastic platformer that is not so “fast” like many others. I love the stickyness and the soft falling of the bird. the graphics are super cute and I love the color palette. the sfx are great but the bg music somewhat monotone after 5 minutes, but still very good.

too bad that you hadn’t time to finish it… I think I made it to the bottom of the wishing-well, which makes me wonder why I bothered collecting all the coins on the way :-) nice twist, I guess….

The platforming can be a bit tricky but the art is nicely done and the concept of the wishing well is an interesting take on the theme! Well done!

Very good platformer. Simple but fun. I just got lost a bit but maybe thats a me poblem :D Only thing I can give as a feedback is that the wall slide should only active if the player presses against the wall. Was a bit counter intuitive at the beginning.
Great game!

Frog gang!

The art here is wonderful, and the platforming is a little tricky but ultimately very rewarding. A lot of great level design here that requires fully understanding and even sometimes abusing the platforming mechanics. I think just a little bit of air control (it's very funny the first time you slide down a long wall past the door you're trying to go through; it's a little annoying the tenth time), and a little UI (definitely coins, an indication that the flag is saving your game, and maybe a map) would go a long way. This was a lot of fun though! Great job!

Thank you for all the feedback, it's really valuable. I got very exhausted working on this project, maybe because I'm working too much, haha.

the floaty lil guy is adorable and the movement feels good even though I'm quite bad at it imo. Love how deep the levels get, there's just more and more

Thank you, I really wanted to finish the story I envisioned for him, like the wishing well, where our hero is the coin collector, and he talks to the scribe who is precisely the one who records the wishes. The idea would be (wishes are, in fact, the ancient treasure of humanity), so it would have several possible endings, as the player would choose which one they want to fulfill, that is, the wishes of the people who throw the coins.

Visually this game is so well polished, everything looks amazing and the character is so cute. On thing about the controls that i found a bit weird was that you would wall jump/slide town them as soon as you touch them and not only when also walking into them. Other then that the movement felt good too. Its a shame you didnt manage to finish that ending cut scene would have loved to see that!

Hi! I really liked the art, as well as the controls and the feedback they provide. The character is super cute.

Unfortunately, it’s not immediately clear what "Old Gold" has to do with it. Good luck!

It's implied in the game's name: it's a wishing well where people toss coins in hopes of having their wishes granted.
