Hi, I created an animated WebP for one of the characters and noticed that the text typing effect slows down while it’s on screen. It runs smoothly when I switch back to a static image at the same resolution. Is this something you could look into? It may be a useful fix if animated characters are added later. I can send you the WebP as an example if that would help.

Also, do you have an example prompt for the room bg? or is there a way to create a new room bg using openrouter?

Thanks

Very interested in what the webp looks like, you can send to my email. How'd you generate it? Maybe this is something I can implement. You can check for example room bg prompts by opening the character folders and checking their character.json for roomPrompt. Here's one:

Create a hyper-detailed, photorealistic background. Do not depict any humans. Keep the shot at eye level. Do not depict any text. Make use of both foreground, midground, and background elements. Depict a university dorm room bathed in warm late-afternoon sunlight streaming through sheer white curtains. The room features a neatly made twin bed with a cream knit throw blanket and brown linen pillows. On the wooden desk sits an open leather-bound journal, a brass desk lamp, and neatly stacked travel cookbooks. A small kitchenette area in the midground showcases hanging copper pots and jars of colorful spices on floating wooden shelves. The color palette is composed of soothing warm beige, soft terracotta, and off-white tones, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere.

Currently no OpenRouter image support, but it's something on the dev plan.

I emailed it. The animated webp was done in comfyui using minimax h3. Its not the fastest process. Currently, i'm just animating the neutral expressions,  but i'm thinking about making a workflow that iterates through all the character images (or maybe just the CG scenes) and automatically makes animations . Also, I need to find a way to automatically build a prompt to make unique animations based on their personalities and expressions.

Thank you! The lag is probably from limitations of the web framework, I notice it already struggles with the static images. If I ever get around to animating the sprites I will look into solving this problem
