People normally load my game from a QR code on real life objects. The QR code contains arguments to the game to tell it what puzzle to load. Recently I started getting this "You should be using itch.io" error.

I want to be able to pass in arguments to my game in the URL about what kind of puzzle it should be loading. Is there a way to do this with the embed link?

I see the embed link is /embed-upload/12591304?color=333333

The link I have been using in the past is more like https://html-classic.itch.zone/html/12591304/Slicer/index.html?x=eF4rySzJSbUNKS3...

This error tells me I'm not supposed to link to that domain, but is there any way to pass these arguments through the embed link?

The warning only shows up if the link is embedding in another platforms iframe. Perhaps the method people are using to load your QR code is wrapping the game URL in something else?

Is there any hope of indexing the game NSFW "The Kid The at back"  for 2026 If you can please

Thanks for the response; after some debugging it only happens if the link is from a Google Form so they are probably doing some weird embedding or something. So it looks like itch is not to blame here.
