I get an error notice saying virus detected- is it just my browser giving a false positive?

Games exported as .exe files need to be digitally signed (a way to identify the developer). Why is this? .exe files can perform all sorts of tasks—such as blocking processes, downloading files, or collecting data—so if a file turns out to be a virus, the signature reveals who created it; this is why the game might trigger a false positive. Why doesn't the creator sign it? Because the licenses are very expensive .¿
Hi ! It's normal for new .exe to be flagged as suspicious, and I have some things in games such as optional analytics that could be flagged as trying to send data elsewhere.
If you aren't confortable downloading anything, play the game in the browser version. If you want reassurance about me putting out a virus; my goal long term is to sell games and currently this one is blowing up a bit, I would gain much less by putting out a virus and destroying my reputation.
Still, if you're not sure, play the browser version, it will be 100% safe for you.
