How did you interpret the themes?
We combined classic board games ( Connect 4, Tic Tak Toe, and Memory Matching) with a roguelike game, but with a twist. Rather than playing each game individually, you have to play them all at once. So every turn you take in one game, the enemy takes a turn in all 3.

The idea is really cool, but i did have some trouble progressing through the early game, where your money generation is pretty low - this is turned into a bit of a slog with the speed of the AI animations (it might be helpful if there was a speed up button). I found that the best approach was to select random cards in the memory match, end my turn, then return to the main menu with my 1 gold for ending a turn, avoiding the time needed to wait for the AI turn.

Overall though, it's a really interesting idea, and I'd love to see more expansion into more games (especially the memory games, which can be kinda tricky when you have to keep track of multiple boards at once), and items that provide interactions between different games (ex. rather than giving an extra turn in another game, perhaps placing down a piece in Connect 4 - essentially, you'd have to think about how each move affects other games)!

Yah the idea was that the memory match was a game meant to help generate money quickly, but when I reflect upon the game it is a bit too slow to generate income.

Its finny you mention other games because initially the idea was going to have 4 games with Checkers as the 4th game. I ran out of time and couldnt add that game, but I think that was a good move since adding another game for a game-jam game would be too difficult and slow at first. However, having multiple games like this could be good if I do commercial version when I have more time for balancing the difficulty.

Overall thank you for playing and the feedback :)

Generally i will scream of unfairness, but to think again, it is me that has big advantage. I just have to play the game long enough to out-upgrade while the cpu cannot get money or spend it. Would be disasterous if they could. Nice polish on the game and nice deep thinking about the upgrade strategy. Good submission man!

Thank you :) That is one lesson i learned from this game is that for a game-jam game the game  should be easy at the start to get the players adjusted to the mechanics of the game and then ramp up in difficulty. I think the style of having a game start off difficult and get easier can work for commercial releases, but for a game jam I only have ~5 minutes to convince people that my game is fun. Anyways, Thanks for playing and your feedback :)

It’s really cool how your goals and strategies kinda progress as you play. First you make a half hearted attempt at winning the games, and it goes disastrously, so your strategy shifts to figuring out which game can give you money the fastest. I found memory match to be the most effective option for making money quickly, and once you can afford the X ray upgrade it basically gives you as much money as you’d ever need.

But even after you crack the game open and can afford all the upgrades, I really enjoy the “post game” content of trying to win in one turn. You can just kinda mindlessly win once you get to the point of affording everything, so it’s great to have that extra little challenge of putting all the upgrades together efficiently.

The presentation is quite nice too, love the background especially. But I occasionally found myself getting a little mixed around by the confirm and deny options switching sides sometimes, like how confirm is on the left in the shop, but it’s on the right on the Finish Turn confirmation screen.

Great job, very ambitious idea and I think it makes good on the execution!

This is brilliantly evil! Winning 3 games AT ONCE against a perfect opponent is such a clever and stressful idea! I love how I can only play one board at a time while the opponent plays all three - my human brain was melting haha! The shop with gadgets is a great roguelike touch. Tic-Tac-Toe + Memory + Four-in-a-Row together is such a fun genre collision. And auto-save is so appreciated! Addictive and hilarious! 🧠

I really liked the idea, is interesting. But in my opinion having to wait on the IA to finish its turns is abit slow, maybe adding

skipping or accelerating.

Yah balancing the AI thinking time was a little tough, but  that is a great idea! Ill implement that into the game once the jam is over :)

Juggling three board games against an opponent who moves in all of them while I only get one move is such a devious twist. I spent my turn blocking a tic-tac-toe row, then flipped over to Connect 4 and found the AI had quietly stacked up three pieces. Wrapping classic board games in a roguelike shop of extra turns makes them feel like a real run!
