[Windows beta] Can you understand the first 10 minutes of my roguelite survivor?

Hi, This is ZhaoGaming, the solo developer of Ring of Lost Embers. The free Windows beta5 is live, and I'm looking for honest feedback on the opening rather than a rating or a promotional boost.

If you can spare about 10 minutes, could you tell me:

1. Could you find and understand the tutorial without outside instructions?

2. At the first level-up, did the choices make sense? Which card, if any, felt like a trap or unclear?

3. What was the first moment you wanted to stop or keep playing?

If you reach a boss, I'd also like to know whether its attacks and any freeze-immunity message are readable. Please mention your hero and roughly which stage you reached. Critical specifics help me more than praise.

Thanks for taking a look. I'll read and respond to feedback here.

The first 10 minutes of a roguelite survivor are make-or-break, and testing your onboarding loop this early is a really smart move. In horde survivors, visual hierarchy is everything — players need to distinguish dangerous elite mobs, power-up shrines, and XP orbs in a fraction of a second amidst the chaos. I'm Roman, a 3D artist working in Blender. I focus on creating optimized, highly readable game props, stylized loot chests, and environmental indicators that pop cleanly against gameplay backgrounds. If you'd like to test out some fresh visual elements, I'd gladly model 1 custom 3D prop for your survivor game (like an interactive altar, upgrade pedestal, or distinct breakable container) completely free of charge. No obligations at all, just a clean game-ready model for your build. You can reach me on Discord at antinarrys or drop an email to roman.zbor.uk@gmail.com if you'd like to connect!

so many thanks for your very detailed comments, I’ll make some adjustments based on it.

much appreciated!
