wonderfully written game with bone-chilling art, music and world-building! I’m in absolute awe of how delicately and grimly written the narration and story is.
the implied metaphor of the pirogue slicing through the water like a knife, the venom-filled inner monologue of our character toward the priest’s reassurance, the purple flowers that once looked beautiful but now silvery and washed out in the bayou.
it’s such a visual feast, one specific scene that painted such a vivid image for me was the long, lithe fingers crawling out of the low hollow like a spider. the face like a baby’s but wrinkled like bark? the juxtaposition sent my rhetorical wig flying!! genuinely disturbed me. loved it!
1 tiny criticism: I do wish the main text body was as light as the speaking character’s text, for easier reading.
