This isn't ready for a commercial release. It strikes me about where a first time game jam entry would be, and cannot justify any price for what's currently offered.
To start, I don't care if the entire thing was made with AI. What I care about is whether the game is enjoyable to play, and unfortunately, this isn't. The camera is awkward, the controls are loose, the enemies are even more basic than a learn2code tutorial on youtube, and there's so little polish I wonder if the developer play tested their own game. AI isn't a magical wonder tool that will do everything on its own. It requires that developer be a director, and I don't believe the developer tried. A few examples:
1. Walk and fall animations. Hana's walk animation is stiff. She barely moves her legs. There's no transfer of weight. She sort of just vibrates forward. Even worse is her fall animation. After jumping on a mushroom, Hana will throw her arms and legs spread eagle, and clip through the terrain when she lands, before instantly appearing on top of it. The worst example of this is in the first level when taking the final mushroom to the highest platform. It looks like she hits the wall before instantly appearing on top of the platform.
2. Shooting. Hana has two weapons. Left clicking will not shoot either. You must first zoom in with right-click, then while holding the right mouse button, left-click to fire. This is fine at first, but as she grows larger and taller, it becomes impossible to even see where she's shooting much less the enemy.
3. Performance. I had numerous hiccups, lags, and game freezes when loading a new run. They would also appear randomly while playing, particularly at loading new levels.
There are more, but just three shouldn't have gotten into a public release. They shouldn't have even gotten past the developer if he or she had play tested their own game. As it is, I cannot recommend anything more than trying out the demo just to see what a digital train wreck looks like.
Which is a shame, because I actually enjoyed the Locket. It was simple, not well written, but had a hook that got me interested.
Hey! Follow up updates are coming soon. This game will see alot more content added - as well as more polish introduced.
Currently this is the base game with systems that took me to develop over a month with animations, character design, QA and mechanics.
I hope the future iterations of the game will make the experience worthwhile for you as well
