This was fun. Very detailed character creator. I didn't realize at first when I created my character but when I created the partner character, I really dove into all the different options. And Hhou's designs and animations look super. The base male and female character designs look cool too.
Now for some "tough love" :
- I figure since it's just the initial development version, the creator options had some placeholder art but some options are a bit here and there, like the eye-patch/eyewear/accessory options had some hairstyle options.
- And at first I didn't understand those were selection arrows next to the selected option, I just thought it was just highlighting the selected category.
- Also, I didn't quite understand the whole point of the expression editing screen and why I couldn't just do it in the same character creator screen.
- I also noticed some dark flickers during the intro dialogue scenes. It was flickering only sometimes at irregular intervals, but I don't know why. It may just be because of my system's low specs.
But, honestly I think players will enjoy creating some wacky designs with that so after you finish this game...it'll be really cool if you could make another one and really lean into the wackiness and make like a comicy story line (like finding a stolen belonging, zombie/alien apocalypse, etc.) with some funny character designs.
Overall, it's fun and very detailed. I'd love to see what adventures await in the Land Of Hearts.
