  • Really loved the strandbeest, impressive to see in XR. Shame you only got as far as you did, definately has potential if you turn it into an actual game.

Nice strandbeast animation, I bet it was fun to make. Another neat project direction is to make the linkages editable so you could simulate other variations and see how they move in VR.

Cool idea and a great start! The environment feels pretty nice and I really love the vehicle and it's animation. Great job :-)

Nice work on mechanism! Looks smooth, and feels awesome to stand on it.

Idk if its a bug: if you stand on the best, and try to rotate 180 degrees, you get black screen.. but if rotate back, then i can see everything.. kinda like a black filter.. idk.

I like the sand crawler animations. They were neat to look at as I was drifting through the desert.

The strandbeast reminds me of the marble machine.

The linux version worked for me no problems. Can you tell us what ideas you would have liked to put in if you had more time?

Developer(+1)

Yeah, I'm not sure what is going on with my linux computer. My other vr projects that I setup the same way work fine but this one only the left eye renders in both the build and editor. I blame SteamVR. Anyway, I had two ideas, one was to make a few strandbeasts the you have to climb/solve puzzles to get on or get working. And two was a Strandbeast walking simulator/tour game where you ride the standbeast to parts of the map that have different thing see, climb, or walk around.

Nicely done, the strandbeast is kinda cool.
Too bad you didn't have time to add gameplay. ;(

Hey, lol, you used Material Maker. :D
