Hey! With FQ9 ending soon, I wanted to let you know that I won't be able to cover your game until after the event. If you're okay with waiting, just keep the game on the event and I'll be getting around to it over the next couple of months or so. :)
Very NICE!
But it would be much nicer if I knew how to make another horse run on the threadmeal after the first one is exhausted.
man the concept of this game is ridiculous and messed up. that being said, it's seriously inventive with its mechanics rather than just defaulting to "click more number go up". art style is really nice and i love that i can snazz up my horses before sending them to the glue factory. you could also use that as an avenue for modifiers allowing the player to customize their horses stat-wise.
I capped this at around five to ten minutes so I could cover more jam entries and give more devs useful notes. That first window still matters, especially for a simple idler where the central joke and interaction need to land quickly.
The concept genuinely made me laugh, and the page communicates it without wasting time. The whip mechanic is super fucked up. I love it. Please, though, let me hold the mouse button to keep the treadmill running instead of making me repeatedly click it lmao. This is an idler, my finger should not be working harder than the horse.
I would also make the whip detection more forgiving. If I am spending the effort to whip and the strike is visibly close enough, I want the game to reward me for keeping the pressure up rather than rejecting the input because my aim was slightly off. The joke works, the loop is funny, and with less friction around those two interactions, I could absolutely see myself letting this horrible little factory run for a while.
If you have two minutes, trade horsepower for extremely questionable spinning-mech power in BEAT BAES. I would appreciate the dev-to-dev notes.
Generate questionable mech power · Audit the factory output
Where is the dating in this game? or did i not play enough to reach that point.
I want to be able to hide the UI and add some music too.
