I killed all the enemies on the second level, and I guess that was it?  Tough to get the hang of, had some visual effects that the Gameboy wouldn't really have been able to do (notably the explosions), but not a bad start.

Thanks for the feedback. You are right, this is something I realized post submit. I think this is because Godot handles particle effects differently (no snap to pixel transforms).

We very much ran out of time to create content. But thanks for playing anyway!

Interesting idea! I think the square arena part of the level worked the best with the mechanics. It reminded me of playing spleef. I'd like to play this with waves of enemies on a large grid, could be interesting strategies there.

Unique and fun gameplay. Placing the bombs is quite tricky, but you eventually get the hang of it. The game has the same level of difficulty as games from that era. Feels like a gameboy game to me !

Kinda jank but I actually enjoyed playing this and I like that you got creative with the theme
