I wasn't able to complete this one ngl. I like that it was super difficult, but I found all the things I didn't know to be extremely demotivating. I think I would've loved this game a lot if there were just one or two UI elements. Particularly a health bar, and maybe a timer or some other indicator that showed when and how night would fall. All the enemies and player movements seem like fun challenges, but with the sheer number of things I didn't know + how quickly I kept dying, I didn't really feel like continuing to try. With how small a change that is though, I want to re-emphasize that I think y'all did an excellent job overall. The enemies are difficult in a way that seems feasible, and I think the spawn loop would be extremely fun, were I a little better at the game xD The story was intriguing as well, especially as a Hollow Knight (and yuri lol) lover

Out of all the games from this jam I've tried so far, this one probably has the most fun and satisfying gameplay. The parry feels very satisfying without being overpowered and the high damage that you deal and that the enemies deal makes the combat feel very rewarding. If you all continue working on the game, I would love to see some more enemies with new or interesting attacks, some sort of upgrade or level up so there's something to do in the night, and maybe even a boss battle. Overall, this game is very fun and I'm excited to see if any of the developers continue working on it!
The art, both in the intro and out, is gorgeous, and the gameplay loop was difficult yet fun. I found myself frustrated when I lost, not because I didn't like the game, but because I felt like I could do better, and I was motivated to keep trying until I beat it. I hope to fight the Sun Mage someday!
took me like an hour to beat, but we got there in the end!
i really like the art in the game, and the intro scene is very well done. the gameplay was pretty frustrating to be honest, since it felt like i could never even get close to an enemy without being hit 3 times. so the game very quickly became a bullet hell as tens of enemies grouped up just behind me to the left as i frantically ran away--and then a bow would fly in from the right at mach 3 and take me out before i could react and block. admittedly, i think the bullet hell experience could be really fun with some tweaking to the enemies speeds and attack patterns, but as it is i was sorta glad to be done when i reached the end. i think the player could also greatly benefit from some kind of health bar, since i often had no clue how many hits i had left before dying.
all in all, it was a fun and interesting concept with a lot of potential! good work
I got to the end! The enemies were actually pretty well balanced and the combat felt good. The block was an especially good addition and gave it a bit more depth. I wish there was a little more with the night mechanic since it essentially passed immediately and went straight back to day. The music and intro cinematic were also great.
Really digging the illustrations/intro cinematic, and also the music - reminiscent of Gerudo Valley from N64.
It gets really difficult quickly, which makes for a fun challenge! I started by trying to destroy every in the area; that seemed like a bad idea after a few tries, so then I just started running for my life, dodging the projectiles as necessary, and got much farther.
I was able to complete it after a handful of tries, and it was pretty fun! I liked the art and the enemy designs, I just think it could've used maybe just one more enemy type in order to give some more variety in comparison to the length. Other than that I see a lot of potential, great music as well.
I would like to comment on the bossfight but I keep on dying before i can get to it lol
