The visuals are truly top notch, models and VFX look almost AAA quality, pretty insane for a jam! The action is hilarious and pretty jank, but all good. Congrats on an amazing production!

Amazing job! It wouldn't load the 3rd level for me, and for the longest time I was trying to destroy a fence near Buster because I thought that was the way forward. It looks and sounds great, guns are fun once you get used to the aiming. There's only one big problem I can see - If you think I'm risking Buster for a medkit, you are outside your mind.
Very stunning visuals, Iam impressed you made this in 2 weeks. I did get stuck and did not really know what to do after. I did struggle with the cameras as others did and idk why the movements were not super intuitive to me but that might be a skill issue on my part. I do not necessarily know exactly what the uniforms looked like but I definitely can imagine that it is quite accurate in the game and that you put a lot of effort on accuracy. It could be an interesting way for students for example to be immersed in how it could have been back then.
I read the other comments already ('cause I was stuck XD), and I'm so glad you are going to keep working on this. It looks and sounds gorgeous, I was really looking forward to play another one of your titles. Really ambitious, I would have been shoked if you manage to do all you wanted in that time frame! Great job, gonna come back after the jam voting ends! <3
Amazing looking game! Sadly I got stuck a couple of times and at one poitn the map wouldn’t load for me anymore. Guess there will never be tea in berlin for me :p. Really nice entry tho!
I think if there was one more day of work on the rails-camera system it would have been really good, as it stands it looks nice but the function is a little bit goopy.
Lads, lovely work. Had trouble with the camera as others said, but I could definitely see what you were going for, and I made it to the end nonetheless. I watched some of the video dev logs that Tony made so I know everything was hand-crafted from the ground up and its easy to see how much effort was put into this. More-so given how much historical accuracy you both built into the models, attire, vehicles, weapons, etc.
I found the pup but he seemed intent on having a nap where I found him and didn't want to follow (I don't blame him :D ) - saw the tanks! and made it to the end of that level, but it just said "loading level" and kinda ended there.
The character was fun, it was nice to see it appear from a thought > sketch on a drawing pad > model > textured > in game. And he looked fitting in the environment.
It would've been fun to drive one of the tanks around - I hope that's in a future version :)
Nice work lads <3
Thanks Kilted. Cameras are already massively better now some time has been spent on actually putting some values in :) Was a choice between doing that or actually getting some out in time.
When you reach the bow wow you can toggle to him using the F1 key, you will see him appear at the top left. You can then run him around, he will be key when the final levels are in.
You can drive the tanks now, the 3rd level when you have a tank visible press F2 or F3 depending on which tank and you can then drive it around. There will be proper tank based levels for those.
Gorgeous art and atmosphere but man that camera and aiming, there was some ik weirdness with the arms when holding rifles (I expect exacerbated by the camera issues) and the run speed didn't seem to work properly on the second level, but I can see what you're going for and looking forward to giving future builds a try.
Thank you Dark Muppeteer for taking to time to play our effort. I am sorry you didn't enjoy it. 2 weeks is not a great deal of time to write everything from scratch and create all the art, bro made every model, every texture :) The camera is a custom system for the game and we just ran out of time to author the paths. The IK again is custom written and that has been fixed now.
Cant recreate the run speed issue, works fine here.
Again sorry you didn't like it, but hopefully you may give it another go at some point.
Sad that there is no normal Linux version. Managed to run this game with wine-ge. But did not get much to enjoy because with how camera works it's super complex to play it. But looks like game has very nice visuals, good sounds.
Visually stunning! The character models and animations are amazing. Was pretty blown away by this game. it was very satisfying shooting the enemies too
It looks better than any UE-made game I've seen, and it's Unity! Not sure where to go as been said, but very nice.
I would agree with BlackmageUK, although I did manage to make it to the doggo but then I got stuck by the church (dirt pile at the end of the road). And I could not proceed past that. The concept is cool, however the camera seems to be a huge component and with it being broken made it confusing and difficult to play. The atmosphere was amazing and I also cant wait to play an updated version. Great Job guys!!!!
Looking forward to playing a more polished version, had some issues with the camera and the aiming which you already pointed out so was able to work past it. Some kind of feedback for hitting enemies would also be great. It looks beautiful as expected, I did crash on 3rd map every time so did not manage to play as the doggo :(. Please keep me posted with updates as its super interesting.
Thanks Marcus for playing it :) Just ran out of time, the camera system was designed so we can set the camera for when you get to key points like puzzles, junctions, baddies, but with bro having to do all the art content (he made every model, texture and graphic in the game) there was no time left to actually author the camera paths. And with the other stuff is coming, again I coded everything from scratch, never really done character controllers before and having to do the gun stuff etc just cant find the time to do it all. Even had to leave out the tanks, soft bodies, procedural barbed wire and half a dozen other bits :( I hope you will like the updated version more :)
The doggy is on the first level. Once found you can swap at anytime, again just no time to put the actual puzzles in that you need him for.
It was great enough to make me want to play when its more fleshed out. The quality of the Art is crazy so I can understand the time its bloody impressive what was made in this short time. Im sure the coding looks great too but I am sadly not eligble to comment on that hehe :) look forward to the update.
