How does your game meet GBJam's theme
We interpreted OLD GOLD literally. Old electronics—CRT televisions, circuit boards, cassette players, telephones, and game hardware—contain small amounts of real gold in their components. In our game, these discarded machines become an urban mine. The player digs through old technology, recovers the gold hidden inside, and uses it to produce new game cartridges. So for us, old technology is old gold: something obsolete and forgotten still contains real value waiting to be recovered.

The art for this game is awesome. The gameplay is interesting, something about the controls feels off, where I feel like I'm not hitting the keys I'm supposed to be even though I am? Maybe it's just me getting confused, because the button mashing can cause some cognitive dissonance.

Really fun and interesting game, even though I could not reach even a triple digit amount of gold. The graphics, soundtrack, and sounds are great as well.

So much style! The music and sfx are great and the voice for the power ups is a nice touch, that said it feels a bit too modern for the Gameboy but that doesn't take anything away from how cool and polished everything is. I also really like how the power ups relate to the actual Gameboy hardware!

Respect to every old technology…

On the last day, many rocks blocked me in, so I couldn’t do anything for like 30s lol.

Anyway, I love your read of the theme, Yes old technologies all have their own value…

Long live GBJam for remembering all the old tech!
