The Sandbar freeze seems to be happening because moving up north and exiting into the previous sandbar map sets the character to a location that is outside of the map boundaries.
Basically, just try moving from Trader's Fort to Raven's House and you should encounter it!
Also, possible feedback: There are some story scenes in the game that are exceptionally dark. In those areas, if you are controlling the player character, since they have the magical lamp thingy gotten at the start of the game, you're able to see a little. However, the story cutscenes doesn't have that effect on other characters so it's barely viewable. A good example is in Shadow Temple's scene with Tiral and Cerbie fighting against intruders.
Yeah, there was an out of bounds issue happening. I did push an update; please let me know if you encounter anymore issues! I made a Bug Reports on the steam community hub too.
Thanks for the lighting feedback! I will take a look at adding more lights to those kinds of cutscenes. In the meantime, turning on the Visual-Audio Aid in the Options menu will make darker areas lighter.

Hmm, I don't see the bug reports on the steam discussion for your game. Maybe it takes a while before it shows up, but there are a few more bugs I've found. I'll post them here first in case I forget about them later.
- Iron Isle has a ton of invisible collisions that blocks you from navigating around the island. I can't access most of the places.
- Lighthouse map with the ghost quest also has invisible collisions blocking the player from entering it.
- There is a chest in the dungeon (I forgot the name. Nalia tells the team to jump into a whirlpool) where a chest can never be reached due to invisible collisions. It is in the first map of the area, towards the north, next to the waterfall thingy.
- In the dungeon where you meet Rurque for the first time (I can't remember the name too. Fought the pet rock.), there is a puzzle regarding turning off light sources. When it is turned off, the collision seem to be moved into the wall by 1 tile, resulting in the player needing to clip into the wall to turn it back on. However, turning it back on means that collision is back and now the player is stuck in the wall forever.
- You lose Mara and Squall forever in Celestial Mining. After going into the Narrow Tunnel to fight the Chasm Bat, then getting the Legendary weapons for Ella, exiting the Narrow Tunnel does not return either of them to party.
- Drester has a house in the southeastern side that upon exiting sets the character into a position where they can't move. The same is for the lighthouse at the port side.
- Drester's port light house contains at item named "Purchasable". I also have another item in my inventory that has absolutely no name and can't be used, it was acquired earlier from a chest that I don't remember where from.
- There is a building on the north east of Holly that has an invisible collision. Going around it and entering only results in getting my character stuck in this position:
- Crash while talking to Squall with Vincent in the cave after fighting Saber:
- Can the Chonk Achievement even be done? I seem to only be able to ask 4 questions and therefore gain 4 chonk points instead of 5.

I took a look at all those issues and fixed what I could replicate! :)
The lighthouse map has no collisions preventing entry; can you clarify this one for me? I went to that map on a clean save file and had no issues moving around it.
If the dungeon you're referring to is the underwater one, the chests are accessible.
The incorrect transfer events, I have no defense for >.> I apologize.
For that crash, I have never seen that before O.o I have no idea what could be causing that; it's just text and some basic move route. I couldn't replicate it, but I added some failsafes based on what I think may be a possibility, from the error locations that crash report gave. Please let me know if it happens again, and I'll simply...erase and remake the event from the ground up!
Yes, the Chonk achievement can be done! No, there are no hints or clues about it. It's very much an easter egg.
I'll keep trying to replicate those edge cases, and push another update later today. Thanks for all the reports!

Edit2: Tried the latest version and the lighthouse was fine. But the Iron Isle problems still stayed the same.

The Iron Isle ones, yup...I found them. My friend found my first iteration of that map offensive, so he redid it for me. I did not realize he used a new tileset for it, so I was simply fixing passability on the other one. I swear it's fixed now :3
I won't be doing an update for just that, especially since there's an accidental cliff-climbing bypass. But next update will include those fixes!
