This was sooooo good!!!! There are so many things to praise. To anyone, please try to go for multiple endings. The build up to the climax is so good, the staging, ect. I really want to praise the VA's performances. Especially MC's VA. The range of this layered character was so well performed. The whole team did amazing do make such a well rounded visual novel in just a month!!!

Absolutely hated Evangeline from the jump.  And I mean that as a compliment.  The execution of her trope was flawless.  Her "bad" end was gloriously satisfying.

Developer

I’m glad you like the “bad” ending! What is good, and what is bad in this story? XD

Oh my god, I can’t believe this was made in just one month. Everyone on the team did an amazing job. I honestly don’t even know what else to say besides how hard you all must have worked. The voice actors were incredible too.

It felt like a dark fairy tale, and I really love that kind of style, so I had a great time playing it.

Thank you for making such a wonderful game. Seriously, great job to everyone involved!

Developer

I’m so glad you enjoyed it! We’re gonna expand two more endings we can’t finish on the jam!

Thank you Rue!!!

I loved this game a lot! I was so absorbed in the story, and all the art and animations were so pretty! The messed up relationships between the characters were so good, and the voice acting was great too!

Developer(+1)

Ahh thank you for playing! Your entry looks great too, I’m gonna go check on it!

I have been playing Azurextwilight games since I was a child, and this is by far the best! I adore this game and I would love to see you do even more unhinged characters and stories.

OH MY GOD THANK YOU FOR PLAYING ALL THESE TIMES.

Also girl we are expanding this and adding two more endings so wait for it!!!

Interesting concept! I love Eva's character so much she's so iconic, and the horror cgs and cinematography was outstanding! Such an amazing job with the month long deadline, the bad ending was also so fun to read me and my gf were going crazy LOL (sadly therions character didn't land to me :( i understand the appeal but for me it wasn't executed to match the story) While the ui was very pretty it was quite distracting when reading! (another issue was with the voice acting audio as sometimes the audio would go quiet)

Overall it was a fun read!! Loved Eva the most she did no wrong LMAO

Thank you so much! I wanted to write the thoughts in his head more but I realized it might not be appropriate in the jam, so I’m going to update it post jam.

I have to edit the audio too, since I didn’t have the time to check everything, especially for Desmond, so thank you for pointing that out!

I just finished it, and OHHH MY GOD, I really really love the “bad ending” and Eva as a character. She’s the holiest saintess ever and will never do any wrong whatsoever in my eyes! Thank you saintess, thank you!

The team did an amazing job with this game despite it being so short, and the cinematography left me in AWE! Thank you for the experience!!!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! We’re updating the game post jam to add two new endings so please watch out for that!

This game is the complete package. A tale of gleaming technicolor obsession, with an enviable level of polish on all levels. I had a great time from start to finish. Thank you for the experience!

I played the desktop version on Windows, here are a couple of things in no-particular order.

  1. The characters are very detailed, yet so far away you can barely see their facial expressions. It is a bit of a shame we only see them from across the room, so to speak.
  2. I did not expect the plot twist. Then again, I should have seen it coming given the screenshots provided for the game. Good job on surprising me!
  3. I really, earnestly do not like the way UI clashes with the story. The clash of style between the background and UI on the foreground pulls me out of any semblance of immersion I could get. Also, nice job with the side-menu. It would be nice if we could turn off the ginormous UI in the same manner as we can hide it.
  4. When I opened the game, the default settings had music louder than the voice-overs.
  5. There is something so uncanny about the character’s faces. Which might be intentional, given that I know the story now, but.. yeah. Like the facial expressions and the characters themselves were made by a different person kind of a vibe.
  6. The game’s logo is so pretty! PRAISE BE, EVANGELINE!
Developer(+2)

Thank you for the feedback on music and glad you like the logo! I will probably have to fix them so it’s quieter, sometimes their facial expressions are hidden on purpose, and we need to put the characters in a room in a way they are not cramping each others so it’s a deliberate choice like the UI, to give it a story book feel, like how Evangeline is narrating on third person because she is so detached from reality it’s all just a storybook vibe for her, so it’s either you like it or you don’t XD.

Oh, when you put it like that it makes sense. Got’cha.
