Easter Eggs
Player will have to go far left side of the map which is intentionally made boring by placing broken roads to slow them down so they dont usually decide to take them unless they are curious. You can tame a pet dog from the scrapyard and it will follow you and help you scare away the cows that player couldnt move away from the first road

Used all of my time developing systems which I hoped the game will have but ended up expanding them to modular systems which is why I couldn't focus on expanding the gameplay itself or making the game any fun :[

I like this maze, interesting mechanics and good development.
nice art and sound, maybe some more audio effects for example cracks on the streets or little cow sounds x3
the idea is cool, a well level design, add some tuto to info the player and that all
very good entry.
Thank you for the feedback <3 Will take these into account for the polished release :D
WAIT, THIS IS A REALLY COOL TAKE ON THE LONG WAY HOME! 🚗🏠🛣️👀
I really like the idea of making the player choose their own route home, especially with the faster paths having obstacles like cows and potholes. The smooth movement and simple route-planning system give the game a nice foundation, and the hidden scrapyard area with the pet dog is such a cute little secret! 🐶❤️
The biggest thing I’d love to see is more of those systems actually becoming meaningful gameplay. More roads, different hazards, stronger consequences for route choices, and clearer objectives/tutorials could turn this into a really interesting route-planning game. You clearly spent a lot of time building the underlying systems, so it would be awesome to see what this becomes with more content and polish.
SUCH A PROMISING PROTOTYPE WITH A LOT OF POTENTIAL! 🚗🔥🏠 Great work getting all those systems together in a jam, and I’d definitely be interested to see the expanded version! Good luck with the jam! 🎮✨
Thank you for the feedback <3. I had great ideas for the game since the beginning, just need some time to plan the architecture :)
NIce concept ! sad that you didint have time to expand more !
Thank you <3 Even though the jam is done, I will finish it soon as I find myself ready :D
Interesting concept, this is original. I'm started a bit confused and still am in some capacity, something to teach the game at the beginning would help a lot; or some objectives displayed somewhere. Also i'm not sure what the number on the car was doing, i stayed at 100 the whole time. Aside from that it's a cool little game, well done!
Thank you for testing it out :) This is very much a prototype. I couldn’t manage my time to make sense of the systems that I put in. At first I thought of removing them entirely but them kept them as I was working on them most of the duration of this jam and there was nothing to show for. I should have put a disclaimer and some instructions in the game itself. I will do better next time :D
Nice game! I was expecting to find more paths to explore. The cows blocked my way for a while until I understood the mechanic... I played a second time just to see if there was anything around the left corner and I found a dog :D. I petted him and he started following me, such a cute detail.
Thank you! <3 I’m glad you took your time to explore the hidden part :D The dog helps you move the unmovable cows as well :p
Nice idea!! I really want to see more
Thank you!
Nice little game with a smooth movement system! Would be keen to see the gameplay expanded in the future with all the systems you spent time working on!
Thank you! I will :D
Very small, simple game, but I think there’s something here.
The movement reminded me a bit of XCOM: click a spot on the road, the game draws the route, click again, and the car follows it. Reaching the edge of the screen moves you into the next area and you repeat the process on the way home.
I liked the idea of faster routes having complications, like cows blocking the road, and the potholes slowing you down.
Right now, though, a lot of the systems feel underdeveloped. Some interactable objects didn’t seem to do much, the potholes slow you down without much consequence, and I never figured out how the car’s health actually comes into play.
It’s definitely bare bones, but I could see this becoming a much more interesting route-planning / puzzle game with more meaningful hazards, interactions, and consequences for the choices you make.
Thank you for the feedback <3.
Car’s health was suppose to be a fuel system for which I planned a resource management game but the irony is I couldnt manage my own time to add the content that was suppose to benefit with this and other planned features :p
Happens to all of us. Great job on the jam!!
It was really fun to play
