No, it has only one possible route.

Approximately how long is your game (in minutes)?
Between 30 and 50 min (Took me 15, Im adding extra assuming it's a bit slower when you don't know where are you going)

Three things I liked about this game:

  1. The art. While the NPCs are very plain and basic and the walk cycles are pretty stiff, the art that is there is delightful and distinct.
  2. The camera zoom at various points is cool. I like getting the more detailed view of the characters and environment.
  3. The music has that 80s techno-rock sound that you hear in horror movies and arcades. Perfect, given the setting and theme.

Three things I did not like:

  1. Player guidance was lacking. This is one of those games that seems to expect me to know where everything is as if I've been here before. I was constantly running around trying to figure out where the next point to go was until I stumbled upon it. I can see an attempt was made with the hints in the pause menu, but I still have no idea where any of the rooms are relative to each other.
  2. The visual language is a little messy. What I mean is: some boxes are just obstacles, some contain items, and some can be stepped on/passed through, and you won't know which is which until you try to interact with them. I almost put the game down convinced that it could not be completed until I randomly came across a box that had something in it.
  3. The story is so fractured that it doesn't add up for me.

Thank you for playing and for the feedback!

These past days I've been seeing one thing I really need to work on is a better way of guiding the players and a map, I am too used to working on smaller levels and never thought of how more confusing it would be to navigate this level cfor someone palying it for the first time, I will be surely be working on that harder for the final cut.

Im happy to hear you liked the camera zooms, I was a bit unsure about it at first but I like the freedom it gives me to show certain details better, while making the portions with enemies less annoying due not being able to see where the enemy is.

I promise the amount of random boxes is temporary, I ran out of time and thought it would be better to have random clutter than an empty room with only one box, but Im glad you didn't gave up on the game and managed to finish despite the chaos. I will be adding a walkthrough for anyone that can't find their way so that doesn't stops anyone from being able to finish.

Thanks again for the helpful feedback and Im looking forward to playing your game too.

That was an amazing game. I think it's fine exactly as it is, and I loved the ending. I think the only complaint I have is that it was very difficult to figure out where to go; the menu prompt gave the objective but without a map or notification, I had a hard time finding WHERE everything was until I found the interaction I needed, which took me looking through every available room multiple times sometimes.  I almost gave up because I thought one of the doors was where I needed to go, but just couldn't get it to open. Turns out the interaction prompt was slightly buggy and I had to look DIRECTLY at it in one of the areas I had been through a few times. Other than that, all this needs is a very slight polish and it's good to go. I'm interested to see what more you're going to add, because I feel like the story tied up REALLY nicely.

Thank you for playing and the feedback!

A map and clearer hints of where to go and what to do next, is something I definitely need to work on going forward with this project. A notification of when you have compelted an objective is also something I didn"t tought about until now but would be very useful too.

Im happy to hear you loved the ending and how the story went cause it was one of the parts I was a bit worried about.

Again thanks for the feedback and Im looking forward to playing your game too.

The ending was perfect. I actually started laughing when I thought about it and realized how well it worked. I think all you ACTUALLY need is MV's default pop-up when you enter a new map (or something more stylized). Like I said, the prompts were clear. I just didn't know WHAT room I was in until I started memorizing the map a bit more.
