oh my gosh this is SUCH a cool use for bitsy!! i love how you can toggle between thermal and regular view and pan around the scene. zooming in to see what’s happening indoors was really satisfying too!

Developer(+1)

I'm glad you liked it! I wish I'd had time to put some sort of zoom indicator(/maybe a small UI) on the interiors as well to show you're zooming at different magnifications but I hope that came across just with the art being at different sizes.

I love me a good mystery! I really love the thermal imaging too, and the audio really adds to the atmosphere! Well done!

Developer

Thank you! I could have used another day to add more mystery (it was an intended section called "10 PM") but I did what  I could!

Game jam. I feel you

Love how you fit this all into 8 bit format, gotta be one of my fav types of game styles! I liked the graphics and audio and luckily I did not encounter any bugs you mentioned, I'm not a fan of reading so I tend to skim over lots of text but I still managed to find the vampire in the end so the gameplay was definitely intuitive enough to make up for my wordphobia. nice to see you tried new things in the jam! well done

Developer

I'm a narrative designer and writer at heart and I'm still learning how to incorporate narrative more intuitively in gameplay rather than text , which is especially hard to do in a short time for a jam game, but I'm glad you enjoyed the game even without reading all the text and had a good experience nevertheless.

It is hard, I basically did the same thing in my submission lol, Again I'm not a big fan of reading (or narrative games in general) so take my feedback with a pinch of salt. I think the narrative elements that where incorporated into the gameplay where perfect.

Great atmosphere, and a very crunchy yet slick aesthetic to go along with it. I did have to play a second time (because I didn't read about the game breaking bugs the first time around), but glad I finished this!

Developer

Yeah, sorry about the bugs! I just needed probably one more hour and they would all be gone! (Except maybe the music one.)

I'm glad you enjoyed it!
