How did you interpret the themes?
Recess is Over brings horror and comedy together in a first-person maze escape. The dark maze, flashlight, fog, and pursuing boss create horror tension, while the playful arcade setting and token-collecting objective add a lighter, comedic contrast. The sealed theme, GENRE COLLISION, is reflected in how these two tones meet throughout the same experience: you explore and collect tokens, then quickly switch to trying to escape the boss.
