Driving a food truck while cooking burgers is a wonderfully unusual genre mix! I tried the tutorial and really liked the tactile steering wheel and the process of moving ingredients onto the grill and assembling a burger. The worn-down kitchen and wasteland setting have a lot of character. I found the ketchup step harder to get the hang of; a clearer visual demonstration of the required mouse motion would help. Great work!
Thanks for the feedback!
Great idea with a more thorough indication of the mouse motion.
Cooking burgers while driving through the wasteland is such a fun idea! I love the art style you chose, too. Great work, I’d love to see more!
Thanks a lot for the review! Glad you enjoyed it
Hahaha... what a fun game! But i was able to deliver one burger though. This is so nice but i wish the cars on the road are not too much. Multitasking final boss lol. Feels so polished and finished. Good job man.
Thank you!
I can see now that I definitely went too far with the traffic and overall difficulty. Glad you still managed to deliver a burger though :)
This was a really interesting one, especially as I feel like we have sort of similar games, of juggling FPS retro-looking driving while doing another task.
I love the amount of detail and polish, but the game is monstrously hard, to a point where it is not clear how one can really be good at it, because the crashes are sooo freuqent, and not being able to see the road and cook at the same time is too anxiety producing, as you get bumped by things you cant see. It feels intentional, but I think having a grill on the dash instead would make it work, but it would probably be a very hard design to cram everything in one view.
Overall really good work though. I would love if it if you could drive at your own pace, and just enjoy the world and art more, or even make it just a little easier.
Thanks a lot for such thorough feedback! Glad you liked it.
Your idea of reconsidering the grill placement is really interesting. As for the difficulty - yeah, I definitely should’ve made the balancing a bit more forgiving.
Depth for picking up things in the tutorial where a bit buggy, but interesting idea. I like the voice that you did :)
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. Hope the bugs didn’t make it too hard to follow.
Maybe my favorite game so far but WOW is it difficult. Once you dial that in though this game has LEGS. Amazing art, VO work, Design, and Polish. Ya'll did great! (seriously though, it was hard as hell hahaha)
Thanks for the feedback! Haha, agreed, I'll definitely tune the difficulty curve
too hard D:
Yeah, I would say it definitely should've been easier, I got hit by the curse of knowledge at some point during the playtests
