I liked to be a bee and gather nectar and fly around and try to avoid a lot of different enemies (it's really cool you made so many distinct ones). It felt like a journey. I liked  avoiding spider nets (actually these were the easy ones, but the biome looked really cool and I like spiders), flying through the desert with an army of geckos on my tail. I reached my bee home, but I couldn't get in... I also had some trouble understanding how flying up works, so I drowned a couple of times, but I got it eventually. Music was a bit repetitive but it worked with the art. I liked the lowpoly style it even felt a bit nostalgic.

Hey, I am glad you enjoyed our game, it seems our effort to make a big map was a good idea. Thankyou for playing and rating :)

A LITTLE BEE, A HUGE WORLD, AND ONE VERY IMPORTANT JOURNEY! ๐Ÿ๐ŸŒผ๐Ÿก

What really stands out about Beelonging is the scale of the world youโ€™ve built. Making a 3D environment this big for a game jam is impressive, especially with a team of five working under a deadline! I love the idea of playing as a tiny bee trying to find its way home through a world full of obstacles and predators. That contrast between the little bee and the vast environment gives the journey a lot of charm. ๐ŸŒฟโœจ

The camera is definitely the one thing that could make the experience smoother. A little less sensitivity and tighter control would let players enjoy exploring the world instead of fighting to steer the bee. I can imagine how much more immersive the journey would feel with more polished sound and music, too.

YOUโ€™VE BUILT A WHOLE WORLD FOR ONE TINY BEE! ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ Even with the last-minute rush, thereโ€™s a lot of ambition and creativity here. I hope more players discover this little adventure and find those hidden Easter eggs on the hills! ๐ŸŒ„๐Ÿ‘

Hey, I am glad you enjoyed our game, it seems our effort to build a vast environment paid off. From the beggining of the development we decided to make it a challenge to control the bee, because we wanted this to feel like a game with some difficulty, rather than an exploration simulator. It seems that you paid attention to details and found the Easter egges too๐Ÿ‘ .  Thankyou for playing and writing this review  ๐Ÿ˜Š

The scaleโ€ฆ

Wow. There is a pretty big world here for a 3D game jam project. Really impressive. And graphically everything runs smooth and looks great.

The music drones on a bit monotonously. And the sound effects could use a glow-up.

The only thing that really bothered me was the camera. It wasnโ€™t as bad as N64/PS1 cameras, but it felt too loose to really control.

Overall, this was really impressive and engaging. Great submission!

Hey, thanks for trying out our game!

The map ended up way too big, and even with five of us on the team, we had to rush a lot of stuff near the end. The original plan was to have a web build so more people could play, but we went way over our performance budget.

I think the camera issue only shows up in the build (it worked fine in the editor). It's happened to me on previous Unity games too, but I forgot to fix it on this one before the deadline.

Our musician and sound designer, Adrian, is a pro, but he was super busy during the jam and had to quickly cook something up on the last day, so we totally get that the audio wasn't up to par.

Cute game, interesting idea to be honest.

at the begining was weird the movement but feels like the sensitive is too higth, some times is hard to focus.

the art and sound are good to, very good job with this entry x3

Hi!

You guys made a charming little game, it's really cute and I dig the bee model!

The camera was a bit too fast in my opinion, it makes piloting a bit complicated, and i'm sure the music could use a couple more bars, but it was funny and cute! Nice work!
