  • Jump

Hello, everyone! Rojatzo  here.

I'm creating a new set of game ready assets with hand made sprites for side scrollers and rpgs. The progress of such assets will be public here, but if you wish to get the sprite sheets they will be available (in the near future) for sale in my itch profile. If you wish to see a specific move or action for this character don't be afraid to leave a comment in this thread.

Thank you for your attention. Here is the first look at the asset. Expect more to come.

Looks good, can you add backslash and uppercut?

Hey! Thank you for the kind words. Sure I'll see what I can do

Update: Added idle and running animations.

Here is what the running animation currently looks like:

Added death animation

The sword stance reads well at that size. Since you asked for moves: a hurt frame with a little knockback, and a jump split into rise, apex and fall, are the two most side scroller controllers ask for first. A guard or block pose would round out the combo nicely too.

Added hurt/knockback animation.

Added forward jump animation,

I'm with the Batonic team. Since you invited requests for specific actions, could you add a crouch sequence: crouch down, a held crouch pose, then stand back up? Your current list covers running, jumping and the sword combo. A crouch sequence would let a side-scroller show ducking under a low passage without snapping straight between standing and crouching. Keeping the feet on the same baseline through those transitions would make it easier to align with the other poses. This is a move suggestion from the listed actions, not an engine test. I haven't downloaded or imported the sprites.
