I will say that having GB-like sound was *not* a requirement in GBJAM-14, so I didn't rate anyone based on that, just on how well they used sound and music. (Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any way to check what my ratings for the game were now that the voting is over)

I saw a lot of talk on the Discord channel about how various people were interpreting the categories when they rated. I took the same approach and left the "authenticity" to the Game Boy Soul rating.
That all said, I couldn't imagine being a moderator already dealing with the Four Color strictness and also adding audio strictness on top of that, there'd probably be like 20 games that qualified lol.
