Interesting and fun idea, but I actually wished there was a a way to reduce the speed (which is peculiar as in auto-battlers you often want to increase the speed), because the actions in the chain fly so fast, so you don't process the impacts. Would be nice to have additional sounds for impacts as well.

Thank you so much for playing and for the excellent feedback! Yes, for the new version I'm working on, I was already looking into improving the visual effects, overall clarity, and sound. I noticed that too—sometimes it gets confusing to track exactly what's happening. Reducing the speed is a great idea that hadn't occurred to me! I'll definitely keep it in mind for the upcoming update :D

Nice take on the theme by making a chain of actions; clever that certain skills also skip tiles to avoid traps and hazards. I did find a language bug, as in that certain texts were Spanish, even though I selected to play in English. Did hinder my ability to understand certain heroes and skills a bit ;)

Developer

Thank you so much for playing and for the feedback! I'm glad you liked the tile-skipping mechanic. Sorry about the language bug, some texts slipped through in the final rush! I'm working on a post-jam version for later that fixes all the translations and adds several new mechanics.

Very complex, yet satisfying game and underlying queue of attacks mechanics works really well, especially with enemies action in-between to avoid or counter!

Developer

Thank you so much! Really glad to hear that the attack queue and the counter/avoid timing felt satisfying to play around with. I had so much fun making it that I'm already polishing it up and fixing some bugs for a more complete version! :D

Cool idea combining an auto battler with a skill chain! Some Spanish text popped up occasionally, but that's not a big deal. If you added a map here, like the one in "Slay the Spire", plus a few encounters, it would make a great roguelike. But maybe that is just me looking for roguelikes everywhere. 😂

Awesome concept! Add more depth and some polish, and it will be absolute gold. ❤️

Developer(+1)

Haha, you can never have too many roguelikes! 😂 That Slay the Spire-style map is actually a fantastic idea for expanding the game. I had a lot of ideas, but ran out of time and had to set them aside. Right now I'm working on a more polished version with graphical updates and better clarity. At first, you were even supposed to control a team of 4 heroes XD! I'm really glad you enjoyed the core concept!

Yeeeaaah, that is one of the main reasons to hate game jams. So many ideas, so little time. 😄

Good luck and I hope all your plans come true! ❤️

Hi Wolfscrin Studio! The 18-slot loop system is a clever way to build "chain reactions" into an auto-battler - arranging skills and watching the lightning race through the sequence is very satisfying. The art direction (desert/pyramid theme) is cohesive and charming. One suggestion: a quick visual cue showing which slot is currently firing during battle would help track the chain even faster. Great concept!

Thank you so much! We had a blast building the game for the jam, and we're thrilled you enjoyed the 18-slot loop system. Your suggestion for an active-slot indicator is spot on! We are actually planning to make a much more polished and complete version of the game, adding more heroes alongside plenty of visual and sound upgrades. We'll definitely improve the battle feedback there. Thanks for playing!
