PEAK PEAK PEAK RAHHHHHHHH Pipi, this new update is simply incredible! let me begin by expressing my appreciation for all the time, love, creativity, and obvious hard work you pour into this game<3 playing and exploring all the new choices was so incredibly fun, you have no idea. everything from the art, dialogue, music (great music picks btw, loved the theme that played during Wizzy's part. think it fits his character very well), and the overall overarching story is so very well-crafted, and it's very evident you put a lot of thought into it so it could all flow smoothly. so i'd love to share some of my thoughts with you <//3
to start off: the new character reveals! seeing all the new characters and their designs was incredibly fun. you have a very nice and smooth artstyle! not only are they pleasing to the eyes, but their writing and dynamics with the other characters were also very interesting to see. absolutely loved Wizzy and Prieston, literal hearteyes lmao
your writing for this act really stood out for me. how we obtain bits and bits of information from the characters to try and puzzle together what actually happened and who Crownus really was... i think this really shows what a skilled writer you are; in being able to create not only these interesting characters and the dynamics between them but also putting the building blocks for a more complex narrative on the overarching story.
which brings me to the next part: Prieston and Jestyn's fairytales and my possible little theories<333

Pipi you sly dog... using character colorization for the animals i see youuu (blue for Knighter, ever the loyal dog; orange for Wizzy, the curious owl; purple for Prieston, the snake shrouded in mystery, and my own interpretation —though is it really an interpretation if it's pretty obvious? lol— yellow for Crownus, the ambituous little rabbit, and, last but not least, red of course, for our beloved jester and once king and lion of the forest)
you don't know how much i was losing my shit when Prieston lay next to us (also because you drew him sexy asf gawdamnnnn Father Forgive Me For I Have Sinned I Need to Repent so I'll Get On My Knees *questionable noises, definitely not from praying, come from Prieston's room*) and started telling us the fairytale.
i'm like one of those 'the curtains were never JUST blue!!' people so i absolutely loved trying to wrap my head around this one and trying to figure out the 'truth' behind Crownus. so my little interpretation (theory?) so far is that Jestyn was actually the king before being overthrown by Crowus
(1) character design-wise, Jestyn is associated with the color red and Crownus with yellow --- this doesn't seem to change even in the order of the stories told
(2) Prieston mentioning in his fairytale that the Lion King has a pink mane (Jestyn has maroon/reddish hair)
(3) Prieston mentions that Jestyn is much like a caterpillar, which later transforms into a butterfly (something completely else), and that 'he is still the same Jestyn even if he now wears a different face' (🤨☝️)
(4) Prieston mentions in the fairytale that "As for the former Lion King, he became the new Lion King's toy," implying Jestyn becoming Crownus's jester, which would be backed up by the triggering flashback he experiences when we continue to punish/hit him during the dinner date
(5) just throwing shit out there, but when we have the dinner date with Jestyn, he comes wearing an outfit that resembles that of a king, which MC also points out and says he looks like one. and AND Jestyn's jester hat has a CROWN in it !!!
AHHHHHH PIPIIIIIII you don't know what you do to me. i haven't been this immersed in a vn in so long. the writing, the writing! im very much looking forward to seeing which direction you decide to take this in next<3 im sure it'll be something amazing
