Hey! Cool game, I filled out the form, but wanted to state my thoughts here.
This is certainly a standout example of the incremental genre, I'm of the opinion that these games are rather oversaturated in the market so far, so I appreciate that there's a little more going on here. That being said, I still feel that this portion of the gameplay may be what is holding this game back. Setting up chain reactions is a fun challenge, but I don't really feel that it escapes the mindless "numbers go up" stereotype that pervades this format. The office segments really are what sets this game apart for me. I was hoping for much more puzzle/escape room content, and I thought I did see hints of that as the game progresses, but the demo so far didn't really play into that much. I may be speaking from a rather self-centered worldview in terms of what I prefer to have in a game, but I think this game would benefit a lot if there was more of these elements in play here.
Besides the gameplay, the graphics and story are really fun. I like how an oppressive office environment can still be conveyed through a visually interesting space, the clear analogue is "Severance," with the retro-futuristic 90s atmosphere keeping it unique. I really liked my main character's dialogue reacting to the various things in his cubicle. Genuinely added a lot of characterization, as we see a starry-eyed fresh hire become a bit more savvy as they get wise to the oddities of the workplace. A lot of questions are raised that I'd love to see answered, so I'll be keen to see how the story develops. My personal theory is that the main character's lactose intolerance kept them from consuming some chemical the company is putting in their cheese basket and coffee.
Overall, I see a lot of potential for this game, I really do hope it does well, and am excited to see the final product. The picture of the devs made me smile, I can definitely see this product is cared about and has passion behind it. Keep up the good work!
