Ah, I feel dumb for not having played it before the deadline.
Great horror game with an engaging athmosphere and sotryline.

If you follow any of the optional challenges, elaborate as you like.
Not this time :(
Were the assets for your game made during the jam? Elaborate as you see fit.
Yes. Only generic bits of code were reused (dialog system, health component, etc.)
Ah, I feel dumb for not having played it before the deadline.
Great horror game with an engaging athmosphere and sotryline.
Great game. The narrative was well-written and a nice take on the theme, and the gameplay I found very fun. A good few tense moments, and man I’m still kind of peeved she found me the one time I tried using a locker. Never trusted a locker again after that.
As somebody else has mentioned already, the dead ends in the last stage did feel rather bad. They make learning the map feel more tedious and, of course, if you get cornered you’re dead.
The walk left route on stage 7 also seems to freeze on the dialogue line “What did you mean by that?” A shame, since I was pretty invested at that point. I tried rebooting the game and restarting from that level but the issue persisted.
Aside from those issues, great work! I had a lot of fun with this one. This is the last game I’m playing during the rating period so I’m glad to end on a particularly good note.
Thanks for playing! I'm a bit frustrated that I didn't have the time to make lockers more viable, so that you'd still want to use them when you knew they weren't completely safe. It was definitely a feeling I wanted to convey, something along the lines of "she's playing a game with me, and she can decide to change the rules on a whim" kind of feeling.
I just did an update to fix the issue with the last cutscene, so if you're interested, please feel free to check it out! (I'm really not used to this dialog system yet, lots of kinks to work out)
Any one of these is a challenge, but combined they are a nightmare. normally you can run away from the girl in a straight line, but in the maze that is not possible and there are plenty of dead ends. She camps outside the hiding places, and what seems to be a glitch of moving while inside it only works sometimes and can still not be enough to get away from her in the maze. All that while you have to remember 6 digits, I had to write them down and still barely had time to input them.
The game seemed to heavily relay on narrative, and it was actually decent, but I spent the most time on that last level, just running around in circles, which was extremely tedious.
I didn't like the final choice, since the goal of the game was to run away from the girl, that's what I did. Fortunately there was an option to redo that stage, but going to the girl there were 2 dialogue lines and then it didn't advance.
There also seemed to be a level 8 as a choice in the menu, but it was just the first level?
Gotcha, thanks for writing all this out, it'll be good to consider all of this more in the future. Definitely tried to do too many things at once in this level. Playing it back now, with a lot more distance from the active development, I really agree with a lot of the stuff you're saying.
It took a bit longer than I expected due to getting busy IRL, but I did also fix up the stopped dialog and the phantom level as well, so if you should be able to check out the other resolution if you're still interested. Hopefully you enjoy it more.
Thanks for playing!
Great take on the theme. Very good job on the whole horror theme. I did find the game part got a bit samey after a while but enjoyed the storyline nevertheless. Well done!
An absolutely amazing game!
You should have seen the look on my face when I realized—the hard way—that it was a horror game. The concept and execution are really impressive! I especially liked the level difficulty progression. Overall, the mechanics are beautifully implemented; the only issue is that the lockers sometimes glitch (the camera keeps moving).
Not gonna lie, I really did not expect a horror game to come out of this Jam, and the sound shifting away from a low drone when she finds you was really well done. I did end up dying after trying to input the code and had the panel stuck on screen after I respawned so that should probably be fixed. Overall though great job!
I really liked the interpretation of greyscale stage and the story dialogue was very well written. I like the variety of lines when you get killed too. I didn't have any problems memorising the numbers but by the last two stages it was getting quite hard to find the input terminal and the place to exit. Still, I enjoyed this game!
Thanks for playing! I was a bit worried about it being too difficult to remember the longer combinations, so I tried to make the surrounding systems a bit more forgiving. Hopefully it meant it wasn't too frustrating.
I'm glad you enjoyed the variety of the death scenes - I had a lot of fun coming up with them!
Interesting concept, with great graphics and audio. The music changing whenever Meguri is nearby is a nice touch, too.
There's an error in the second stage (the one after the tutorial, after meeting Meguri), after inputting the passcode, which prevents progress.

Also, "immediately" is misspelled in the intro.
Unfortunately I couldn't get past that stage due to the aforementioned bug. Looking forward to whenever it gets fixed though!
Okay, I tried it again, I think I got the ending? (the part where you turn back to face Meguri and have some dialogue which eventually gets stuck at the line "Through everything, I still thought she was shining brightly.")
Found a couple more bugs though, if you die while trying to input the password, the input window never closes but remains on screen; it can't be interacted with and just obstructs the view. And in the final dialogue, there's a line where the text reads "set Meguri meguriColor_6", and a line where Meguri says "meguriColor_7".
Quite good overall though!
fun concept and cute artstyle!
I couldn't progress too far because of some game breaking bugs unfortunately
main one was after I entered the code I got a javascript error message popup and the game stopped responding
other minor ones were: the foot sfx kept playing after I died or the keycode UI didn't dissapear after dying, so couldn't see half of the game
