Simple yet intuitive gameplay loop, only small suggestions I'd say is maybe changing pickup to be "E", it'd be easy to press while on the move and maybe changing drop to "Q" as I dropped logs a few times while trying to pick ones up. Generally tho good stuff here and looks / plays well especially given you did it solo, well done WoodRock!

Hey, thanks. Glad you enjoyed it, and I like your game. I actually recognize the assets from that very popular Godot tutorial I watched for my first game. Good luck on your game dev journey. I am new myself

Flying Pot, literally unplayable

(just to be clear, this is a joke ^^')
I really appreciated the sound effect, I feel like that accentuated the feeling of the game quite well!

Developer

Thanks glad you enjoyed it

I tried the game again as I promised :-)

Cool atmosphere. Just chill going around collecting logs.

At one point I noticed that you can go more than 100 logs in the fire so you can keep going pretty long. I did get lost a few times as I got disoriented in the dark, which is what I assume you were going for. But every time I was happy to see that little glimpse of my bonfire that you strategically put in a valley so its not visible from everywhere 😊

I'm not sure if this game has an ending or not. I kept going for pretty long but it never ended. But I feel like I survived for quite long. Good stuff!

Hey, glad you enjoyed the game, and no ending just some relaxation. I was going to add levels to the fire where, when you go above 100, the fire's range would increase, but I did not have enough time. I was actually thinking of adding a compass that locates you to the fire, but I didn't have time to add it. I am glad you were able to play it

Nice incorporation of the limitation. I think it would be cool if you expanded on this by making it so you could place fires around the map to keep yourself warm while you collect things.

Developer

Thanks. I am actually implementing a similar feature in the future, but didn't have time to do so during the jam. Thanks a lot for the comment and suggestion.

Hey guys, just made some fixes to the game. Check out devlog #2

sorry everyone, turns out the mouse isnt locking when the project is ran I am truly sorry, let me make the fix

I had the same issue as some of the others when I first tried. The issue seems to be when you fullscreen and then back out of fullscreen, the mouse never actually gets locked back to the game so the mouse controls stopped working.

There was also this weird visual glitch happening in the bottom left of the screen, it looked like textures clashing but I'm not sure.

A good concept though and nice use of the theme!

Developer

Just made the fix

Is it possible that your browser version doesn't have mouse controls? I don't know how to look around.

If you fix this -> let me know and I'll try the game again. The first glance looked promising but without being able to look around I wasn't sure how to play it properly!

Developer

Thats weird it works for me try clicking the window; it might work

Submitted

I managed to move the character with WASD, but I couldn't change direction or interact with the elements.

Developer

You need tk get close to the logs then click f I wasnt able to add raycast and stuff so this was the best I could do

Developer
